Camera Giants? More like Giant LiarsI recently purchase a Garmin 765T GPS at what I thought was a great price. Then I got a call from Kenny in their sales force. He informed me that I needed to purchaseA memory chip, because the unit will not work without it. Not being up to speed on the product I purchased, I believed him. He went on to say if I purchased the chip I would get up to date latest maps and programming. I said let me understand what you just saidThe unit will not work with out the chip? Kenny said that’s rightWell it turns out the unit works fine with out it. I just won’t have access to some features it is capable of. So I purchased a chip I didn’t need, that I can purchase at Wal-Mart for $19.00 and they charge $168.00Kenny did a fine job for the company. He led me to believe the unit would not function at all. This is all about how you say things. It still comes down to Misrepresentation and not telling the truth. Just like Wall Street thieves, what They do is no different, stealing is wrong. Thought I tell you just so you know. I purchase goods all the time on the internet so you they lost my future businessNo big deal to Giant Liars, but I will also post my complaint on the internet and Camera Giants will loose other business as well …guess that was worth the extra $168. Oo they got from me.
