This is an email I sent to the servicing company. I feel they are ripping poor folk off by charging a fee since it is easier to processthis than a written check. "I herewith advise you that I protest the "service fee" you unilaterally imposed for my loan payment of $832.45 on 07/18/08. The prior service firm, Option One did not impose a fee and by precedence you must continue that practice. There was no prior notification that a fee was contemplated. If in your joint letter dated 06/10/08, you intend to support your words"We at American Home Mortgage Servicing... Look forward to servicing your mortgage loan with the same superior service to which you have become accustomed", then you would not impose such a ridiculous fee. The service is no different than it was before and this is only a substitute for a late fee."
There was no notification that a fee would be imposed I think they should be stopped from doing this
