This ridiculous 6 page, single spaced letter arrived in the mail today, asking that I become a part of some secret society that is only for chosen individuals. The letter claims NOT to be a mass mailing, since it was sent "first class air mail" — however, there is also a "Manuscript number" on the letter (I ripped it to shreds already), meaning HELLO IT IS A MASS MAILING.
It's difficult to understand the letter, and it actually uses the word "hooey" (how crass) in describing what it is NOT. I have no idea how this spammer got my information, but it was actually sent to my old address and forwarded here. The letter insists that this special offer of becomming a member of an UNNAMED secret society expires about two weeks before I got the letter. Not only this, but the letter is dated Aug. 11, and gives the recipient only 6 days to receive AND return the letter (by Aug. 17th).
I feel extremely violated. I have NO IDEA who this person or company are, but I see that they are reported on both scam.com and on this website. I sent them a letter insisting that they cease and desist.
