(the Parent Co. To Univera) Univera Healthcare & The Lifetime Healthcare Companies refuses to pay for life-saving treatments to keep a 2-year-old child alive & offers no alternative treatment Ripoff

Univera Healthcare and parent Company, The Lifetime Healthcare Companies have denied life-saving medical treatments for little Anne Garrett who is a medically fragile child, offering the parents no other credentialed treatment to keep their child alive.

Little Anne Garrett was the focus of a Fox 5 New York City news story in May which you can view on-line at: www.theroostercrows.com. It takes extraordinary measures to simply keep Anne alive because she has a long list of health problems including being allergic to nearly every food which caused her to become severely malnourished.

Anne's parents, the husband and wife team of Randy Garrett and Lisa Lundy, have had to accept help from the public to be able to keep their daughter alive since their monthly medical bills amount to over $3,000 per month. The CEO of The Lifetime Healthcare Companies, David H. Klein, is reported to have a salary of over $1.7 million dollars according to a Rochester newspaper article published earlier in 2007.

The treatment Anne receives which has saved her life and is helping to repair her body has been credentialed by the ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) for over 37 years continuously, and has been done in the U.S.By physicians for over 100 to 150 years.

Anne's mother, Lisa Lundy, filed all available appeals for this denial, and even drove to Albany, New York to meet with the Chief of the Health Care Bureau for the New York State Attorney General's Office, as well as the First Depty Superintendent of Insurance for the New York State Insurance Department. Lisa also met with the New York State Department of Health to try to get health laws enforced. It appears to Lisa Lundy that none of the laws applicable to health care are being enforced by the agencies that have oversight in health care.

It is a miracle that little Anne Garrett is still alive. Thanks to the generosity and goodwill of the public, this family is surviving.
