My friends and I decided to throw a small get together for New years and we decided to hire some strippers. We went online and searched for strippers in San Diego. We clicked on the San Diego Girls site and looked through the pictures. We choose one and called for prices. We were told that it would be $150/he per girl and that for every 3 men we had we would have to hire and additional girl, so we set it up for 2 girls for and hr and told them to show up at 8pm.
At 9pm the girls finally arrived and asked to be let into the house so they could check it out and make sure everything was on the up and up. We noticed at this time that neither of the girls was the girl we had originally hired but no explanation was given to us when we asked. After running through all the ground rules the girls asked for the money, $50 per person, a total of $400 dollars. After they counted and pocketed their whole demenor and attitude changed. They told us that they were not infact strippers but escorts, and that they would need at minimum, another $300 each just to perform. They also told us that they only perform private shows and they indicated that sexual favors would be included in the private show.
We indicated to the girls that there had been a mis-understanding and that we had wanted strippers, not escorts or prostitutes. We asked them to return the money and they told us that they have a no refund policy and that if we had any questions we should call the service. We got on the phone with the service and while we were talking to them the girls said that they were going to wait in the car. We asked them to wait until we could talk to their service and they refused. They ran, not walked, to their car and jumped in and started it. I ran to block them from leaving and they tried to back into me. When I wouldn't move they said that they were calling the police, and that they did not have to return our money. We decided to let them leave and continued to call the service. Eventually the service stopped answering our phone calls.
They next day I called the police to file a report and I was told that it wasn't really a crime. It was a civil matter because we hired them to profide a service and then they didn't. So now I will have to spend more time and money trying to sue this company for my money. Basically what this is telling us as consumers is that shady people can advertise a product or service and then can rob you of your money and get away with it because the process that it takes to get it back and hold them accountable is very long and tedious. Be ware of this company and others like it. Never let a stripper in your house, or around anything that is of value to you. And never give them the money until you are sure of what your getting into.
