Ted Kennedy
Does false advertising count for government officials - WHY IS IT OK TO LIE?

John F. Kennedy was great! His most quotable quote was "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country".

One of Ted Kennedy's many quotes was, "The president was informed about the terrorists, had all the FBI, CIA and other intelligence in well before the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and did nothing!!! Bush should be made to tell what he knew - when he knew it, and why he didn't act."

The LIE is that Bill Clinton, not Bush, was the president in 2000. Then when someone confronted Kennedy by mentioning that Bill Clinton was president in not George Bush, Ted just brushed his BALD FACED LIE aside and said, "Oh".

I am sorry, either he is lying through his teeth - OR - he is senile and therefore cannot be expected to hold a government position.

Ted Kennedy should try to live up to a tiny fraction of his brother's integrity, but instead of telling what can be done to help our country, he just gives the terrorists more ammunition. If Ted Kennedy hates this country so much, why doesn't he move to IRAQ.

I am ashamed that Ted Kennedy is representing this country in Washington, because the instance noted above is only one of the MANY mis-statements (no, lies) he has told us.

He is giving me nightmares. I can't sleep for worries of what the terrorists will do because of what Ted Kennedy has lied about this time. My health is suffering, my blood presure is rising and I can't afford to have a heart attack.

Lets make this very simple,
Any politician caught telling a bald-faced (or any other kind of) lie should be given one, and only one, chance to retract it, apologize and make sure the retraction gets the same front page stories that were used in the original lie - not give the apology at the bottom of page 47 in the newspaper.

Failure to do that would be considered "Breech of the truth in advertising law" or equivalent, and that politician should be forced to resign from whatever government job he occupies.

Lets get honest back into our government
