Global Resource Network
Don Burnham - Scam Alert

Infommercial SCAM -

Global resource network - Globalresourcenetwork.com (formerly capital investment systems) - has a nationwide infomercial, selling either a seminar or product pertaining to a lucrative {wealth building] home business in investments, real estate and notes. They charge up to $10,000 for seminar and materials sold at the seminar.

Stay away from this company. I was unaware that people could lie to this extent, just in order to get your money... And then push you off a cliff... But then I met Don Burham, the spokesman for Global Reource Network. Thanks to this guy, and this company, I have a tainted view of the human condition. Others I went to the seminar with feel the same way.

Here is what you will find about this company: GRN has no problem taking up to $10,000 or more from you, for a product with a market value of less than $100.00 product. They trap you at a 5 day seminar to manipulate you. The better business bureau (BBB) has issued a warning against the company see http://www.bbbsouthland.org/newsmay99b.html
and this company is in current derogatory standing, (although they claim they are such wonderul educators).

I think this seminar is an absolute scam. They rope you in to attending a free 2 hour seminar, where they push fraudulent sales claims, to get you to sign up for a 5 day seminar (cost= between $$6000 dollars). When you get to the seminar, they suddenly tell you... Oh... You have to buy additional programs (valued at $thousands of dollars more), if you REALLY want to succeed. They constantly remind you, it takes money to make money. [All the while selling a bogus product].

They claim all you have to do is work a couple hours, and you can earn millions of dollars a year. They claim they are experts in what they teach, and are very highly accredited. They dress sharp and talk slick. But, they are dishonest.

They claim there is an 85%-90% success rate. Reports indicate, there is 100% failure rate. An investigation done by a New York Post Reporter on an identical note seminar scam concludes 1) there was misleading information about the market for this service which does not exist 2) misleading information about what it takes in terms of effort to succeed 3) misleading information about the potential for income and 4) and her conclusion was to consider that these folks may be actually preying on peoples innocent hopes. Http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/business/longterm/quinn/columns/061898.htm

They claim this is a "best kept secret", and that we are getting a bargain for the price. Only to find out later, this program is sold for less than $75.00 in the mail. And, there is close to a 100% failure rate.

In addition, The Michigan Attorney Generals office has placed a ceast and desist order on them
Attorney General Office 1-517-373-7117, Case Number 98-182.

I would recommend that if anyone had a similar experience to immediatley contact the Federal Trade Commision and file a complaint over the phone. (202) 326-2222. These folks are absolute experts at conning people out of their money. If you will notice, their website now has a DISCLAIMER ON THE FRONT PAGE, in order to protect themselves from the multimillions of dollars they have already scammed from the innocent trusting people.
