I applyed online for a prepaid card and before the end I see that they lied about their fees. I tryed to stop the application but I could not reach anybody by phone, email or address. I gave them my ss number and my debit number linked to my checking account. They took the $100 I loaded on the card during the application process. AFte spending 6 hours on the phone and web searching I found this company is called Plastyc, Inc.in NY. MetaBank is a partnership company that processes their credit cards. No at that company would identify themselves and Metabank had to leave them a message to call me after I called 30 some other phone numbers I found on the web. Outcome, is that I had to file a police report, close my bank accounts, file a complaint with BBB, FTC and put a watch on my credit. I was afraid they would steal my identity. I know they will never return my money. I sent a letter registered, certified mail asking them to close the card and send me the money they said they would refund. I doubt they will. I was scammed. Lesson learned, check out customer service numbers and email addresses of the company you want to deal with before you get committed.
