Sometime last year I got a call saying I had won a $500 Wal*Mart gift card.in order to receive the gift card I had to sign up for a subscription plan with General Subscription Services for 19.95 a month for 24 months. I was promised that I could cancel anytime and that I had to keep the subscription for at least 30 days to get my gift card. Around Sept./Oct. I finally found their information online and called them to cancel. They told me I couldn't and said they could change the magazines. They also told me that all of the information regarding my account had been mailed to me when I first signed up. After trying to get them to stop and cancel I finally went to my bank to get my debit card changed so that they would stop charging me. That was the first time I received anything in the mail from their office and it stated that since I had stopped payments that I owed them ~$350. Now they've sent my account to collections and they won't leave me alone. I would like my money back and for them to cancel an account that I only agreed to for a gift card I never got.
