I bought into the LocalAdLink business opportunity in December and unfortunately did not research enough on the founders of the company and their "Founding Reps".
My experience in the last 6 months includes:
Failure to pay commissions either at all or delayed for months. I still have reps under me who as of today have not been paid for sales in February.
Failure to deliver service to our clients. Our first few clients actually showed up on the Google ad network for a few weeks and we felt comfortable. Then February came and ads dropped out for weeks at a time with no exposure. I also have two premium ad campaigns and can view all stats for mine and those of my clients.
Yahoo used to be on the main page of localadlink as a search partner. You'll now find them totally missing... The ad partners are shrinking not growing. They are trying to replace it with their own inhouse network which is pretty much useless. My clients signed up to be on the major search engines not a po dunk shopping site called ISupply.
The only place they can be found for sure is their own websites:
ISupply, BoomJ and LocalAdlink.com
Now... Ask 10 people today where they search when they are looking for local goods and services... Heck ask 1000 and less than 1/10 of 1 percent would mention any of those sites.
Of your $199 a month they are most likely putting less than $10 into the google ppc ads. 50% alone goes to the rep and another percentage goes to the upline commissions and then company operations... Leaving very little for actual search engine advertising. This is the reverse model of other PPC seo companies who charge 10-15% and the rest goes into actual advertising.
Their goal is to move totally out of ppc and put them on the in house network which is unheard of but costs them very little.
Do a search and truly find out about the legal history of the CEO, Family and Founding Reps:
The actual percentage of revenues coming from ad sales to end users is very very minute.in addition, the staying power is not there... Small business owners catch on pretty quick and realize there is no return on investment. Majority of revenues is from recruiting, recruiting, recruiting. Each new recruit buys advance ad packages and the license to give away stores...
I invite the PUBLICLY TRADED COMPANY to actually show the stockholders how much of the actual revenue is coming from end user sales. Right now it's shaping up like a illegal pyramid scheme because of the revenues coming mainly from recruiting and advance ad packages. Most of the founding reps come from such companys that were already shut down by the ftc. This is readily available knowledge on the internet.
I had great hopes in the beginning but now have accepted my losses but want to warn others about this company.
