Pyron Technologies is NOT a company that anyone should recommend to others or do business with. Over 2 years (March June) of doing business with Pyron Technologies, I have been misled, lied to, over-billed and disrespected on numerous occasions. I spent @ $20,000 for a website that never lived up to Pyron Technologies' claims and promises and never even paid for itself.
Once the website was completed, most communication was cut off. Attitudes and prices completely changed. Suggestions, improvements, and follow-up never occurred, even at my asking (numerous times). Even though it is NOT stated in their billable services, they started to bill us for phone calls and meetings. This may not seem like such a big deal, but this was not their standard practice.
I recently discovered that Pyron Technologies licensed software (Sitefin) for $129, re-branded it as "Live Edit", and then sold it to me for $5750. I realize that may seem like good business, but considering the website performance, I def. Got screwed. Throughout the 2 years, they consistently over-billed and sent invoices months after the work was completed (a huge pain for accounting). Phone calls and emails are never returned and work is never completed on time. Billing rates increase often and without notice.
Through friends I also learned that Pyron Technologies severely oversold its server space, causing all websites to load slowly and perform poorly (especially ours). Turnover is so high that rarely does anyone know what is going on when you finally get a human on the phone. I had 4 different account reps over the course 2 years, the last rep being CEO dave pyron himself.
Pyron Technologies is unethical and unreliable. They have an increasingly growing bad reputation and image in Montana. I know this may seem like a bunch of whining, but $20,000 is a ton of money and I think we all expect a higher level of respect and customer service for that amount. I encourage all of you to send this along to anyone who may benefit from the info.
