I became involved with A-1 Leasing after Startup Essentials (another scam artist) contacted me about starting my own business.
I was told that A-1 Leasing would supply me with a laptop computer which would enable me to set up a web based business. Through the software on this computer, I would receive a Virtual Terminal License, I would be able to process credit cards through iPayment, Inc. Which is allegedly registered with JPMorgan Chase Bank.
I was told that I also would receive a Search Engine to assist me in finding a product to sell, an online Shopping Cart and Resources and Tools to help me build my website, just to name a few of the many benefits I was told I would receive.
After several months of attempting to use the computer, (by the way they told me I would be up and running in 14 days) I could not access any of these services. Nothing, Zero, Zilch!!! I tried calling many times only to get a recording; I would leave messages but NO ONE had the decency to call me back.
After they deducted over $1,000 from my checking account, I closed my account and returned their computer. Now a collection agency is harrassing me for $10,400.
I have no internet business, as I was promised. I have NOTHING to show for the $1000 they took from me and now they want $10,400 more.
How can these people get away with taking advantage of individuals who just want to start their own business. How can they sleep at night!
