The first and only thing I received from Startupessentials ("SE") was a box containing a 3-ring binder entitled "StarupEssentials, Accelerator Plus 2.0" and a cheap laptop computer. The SE manual did not contain the two things I had been promised to start my business; (1.) A web site and (2.) drop-ship supplier informaion; both things needed to start the buinsess. The laptop was not needed or requested, and the manual contained ordinary (rather simplistic) information that were not the two items I had been promised: my business web site and connection to drop-ship suppliers.
I remember well the words used over the phone by the salesman to disguise the need for a lease. He said " I am sure that you know that any business has overhead cost. Our conpany executives have studied the best way to cover the overhead cost, and decided that the lease is the best way". I say, if a buisness is not started, however, there is no overhead and no need for a lease payment. A more accurate and approiate name for the SE company would have been "FalseStartupEssentials" or "RipoffEssentials".
I adddition to the omission of the two itmes that were necessary to start my buiness, there was no way in the manual to get the needed help. It seemed clear to me at the time that I had been lured into a "FalseStartupEssential" business. I did not know what to do, but I continued to pay the payments for a "lease" that nothing to do with overhead since I had not receiving the essential help for starting my business. Later, I learned of a book entitled "Lease Breaker". Which lead me eventually to usacomplaints.com
