I got an email promising me a free $500 gift card from Victoria's Secret if I "filled out their marketing survey." I clicke on their link, put in my zip code and was told I would qualify if I "fulfilled the terms and conditions, " which comprised of completing two offers from their sponsors.
After endless pages of questions upon questions upon questions, during which I know they collected much valuable marketing data, I chose two relatively economical offers, for BocaJava Coffee and BMG Music.
Naturally, the company never contacted me and I never received the gift card promised. I contacted the companies I bought stuff from but they could provide no information. Since they benefited from the scam by getting my money, I consider them partners in crime with "Deluxe Online Rewards."
I don't think that companies should be able to get away with promising free stuff and not delivering it. I plan to contact the Attorney General (I think it's Bill Lockyer) of the State of California and report this company. There are many who are operating the same scam and with any luck we can get them ALL out of business!
