Prodigy Internet Service Rip-off

Back in October 8,1999 I purchased a computer system and signed up for Prodigy service using a $400.00 rebate, through Best Buys in California, to offset the cost of the system.

That night I could not connect to the service using three different dial-in numbers. I could not connect so I called tech support and was informed that there was a net work problem. After two weeks of the tech dept stalling me with various reasons that the service was down my return option was up as
well as my cancellation rights.

Here it is April 17 and I finally found out the answer. I was told by a Tech from Prodigy on April 14, case # 2537155 David, that Prodigy has over sold the service and that there was a super pop outage that will take about 30 days or more to repair.

I have requested that my contract be dissolved and Prodigy refuses to do anything but say pay up the money or continue to pay us $19.95 per month. And wave the $50.00 cancellation fee.

I have a lot of information that I have collected since October and would be willing to supply you with it if needed.
