RE: Lyig Salesman, Old products, Do Nothing Site
I know why they changed their name, they had to for all the litigation they were in trying to defend themselves against Telemarkerter Fraud. I was phoned at home (after I put myself on the 'no call list') by one of their telemarketing salesman. He promised, lots of NEW software, games, cds, and hp print cartridges I could get with no shipping. HE LIED! Refurbished cartridges for the price he quoted me for new.
Software that is so old some of it works on Windows 3.1. WHAT A RIPOFF! The Cartridges are from another company's web site that is linked to shopcv.com, and you have to go through hoops to navigate.
He told me that for $19.95, I could get a one months trial membership, that included a $20.00 buy anything certificate. And then without doing anything an additional charge of $19.95 will be billed to me to purchase a 'lifetime membership', for a TOTAL OF $49.95 lies, LIES, LIES. After a month because I didn't call and cancel they charged me an additional $52.95 (and other charges of $3.00 or so), for a TOTAL of $72.80. Not $50.00. Most of this stuff I could get free on the giveaway shelf at Staples and it might actually work on my XP system.
When I called to complain and to get my money back, I was told by their represenative it was old software for Windows 3.1 she told me that I could buy a transission program from Microsoft so they might work on Windows XP for about $30.00. But the free stuff is FREE! Well, $4.95 S&H for shareware that you can get a WalMart for $5.00, IS THAT FREE?
I wanted my money back, they can keep the $19.95, for my being a dumb mark. But I am getting the $52.95 for the worthless lifetime membership back somehow probably with litigation. You'll get nothing for $19.95, that's what I got.
