I ordered this product because it advertised a $4.95 trial offer. I wanted to try it and see for myself if it worked. I recieved the product as expected, but did not use it for about 10 days as I was coming up on a special occasion and didnt' want to take a chance that I might have a reaction. I used the product for about a week and my face began to break out so apparently I had an allergic reaction to one of the chemicals in the product.
I was looking for the paperwork that came with the product to call immediately (this must have been about 10 days after I ordered) and could only find the paper that came in the box, which does not have a phone number or email address, or even a website listed. I looked through my email to see if I'd gotten an email confirmation the day I ordered it and I did not — I do not delete emails from orders/returns.
I recieved an email on Tuesday (yesterday) that said my order had been shipped. I called this morning to request cancellation and find out how to return the product I cannot use (due to the allergic reaction) just to find out I was two days - two days - late calling and "sorry, they couldn't refund". They did cancel any future shipments, but kept telling me that I agreeed to the terms when I purchased the trial offer and that they even sent the terms and phone number in the confirmation email I recieved... Again, I did not recieve a confirmation email - so I did not have the terms nor did I have a # to call to cancel.
The customer service rep kept telling me since I got the "trial offer" and recieved a free shippment and discounted product price for future shipments the terms were different than those that purchased full price... If I had purchased full price they would have refunded my money becuase they have a "money back guarantee."
The rep also said had I called before my 30 day expired they could have "extended my trial period" — which I did not know — it wouldn't have helped me since I didn't have the phone number. But, it would be nice if they mentioned the extension for the 30 day period for those ppl that didn't have a reaction, but just were unable to try the product immediately.
So, now I'm stuck with three tubs of product I cannot use and I'm out $100! It amazes me that any company does not have exceptions to the rules when it comes to allergies and other medical conditions that their product causes.
I feel that others need to know about this little product before they get into it. They need to know that they must call immediately to cancel - and to write down the contact information when they order so should they want to cancel they have the phone number before the auto ship is shipped in 30 days.
Very disapointed in this company. Will not recommend anyone try it - would have recommended had they even tried to help me (even a partial refund would have been acceptable).
