Hydroderm
Ripoff, dishonest, fraudulent scam

I answered an ad for Hydroderm Fast-Acting Wrinkle Reducer... The ad states: "For a limited time, you can TRY the remarkable wrinkle-reducing serum that millions are raving about FREE for 30 days. Simply fill out the information below to start your FREE Trial today". (This was pasted right from the website).

It says: Hydroderm Benefits:
Deliver full collagen molecules directly to the skin
Decrease and soften fine lines and wrinkles
Restore & rejuvenate the skin (not a cover-up)
Offer visible results in as few as 21 days

Well, I ordered it, agreeing to pay a small shipping charge of $1.49, with the understanding that if I didn't cancel within 30 days, they would bill me for the full charge of $49.99.

So, I received my bottle of wrinkle reducer, and began using it. After TWO weeks, another shipment arrived. And my credit card was billed for $54. I called Hydroderm, and asked them why. The 30 days was not up, and I wasn't finished evaluating the product and now I had two bottles of it.

The girl politely gave me an RMA number to return the second bottle, and said when they got it back, they would credit my card. She explained that I had been enrolled on an automatic monthly program, and that I would receive a new bottle every month and be billed for it. (I returned the second bottle, and got the refund)

I informed the girl that I hadn't finished evaluating the product and didn't know if I even wanted the first bottle yet. So she extended the trial period an additional 10 days.

At the end of that period, to the day, they billed my credit card $49.99. Although I decided that the product did not work as advertised, and I shipped it back with return receipt from the post office that very day. The promise was to return the unused portion with no obligation and the money would be refunded (within the alotted time) which I did.

Well, I waited two weeks and nothing showed up credited back on my card. So I called them AGAIN. And was informed that I had to fax the request in writing, and also include a copy of the postal receipt to a specific manager named Maria or Kevin, for my refund. I have yet to receive anything.

This company obviously is selling something that does not work, for I can attest that I have tried it. But if they can make even $50 per person, that's a pretty good scam. They can rake in a lot of money that way. I'm taking it as a lesson learned, but would like to warn others not to fall for it.

I look very good for my age anyway, and this was more of a preventive thing for me. But I can't imagine how someone who is really wrinkled and is expecting positive results, could feel... Having purchased something like (competitor's name deleted - see below) Buyer Beware!
