I was at at a home away also, for a total of 3 months, in this time i witnessed lots of abuse of guests. Seems to me that the, no money return, policy was a great way to make Mr. Derry, some easy cash. The breakfast dinner was always exciting... Depending on what drug, Mr Derry was on. Some mornings it was great, the next he would attack and belittle a " guest" so much they would not want to be there. Then the options were on the table... Change. Or get out before lunch. He would then leave to do his own thing, and the "guest" packed their bags, and walked out... And I mean WALKED... No bus, service to there, and using the phone for a taxi required authorization... Many young addicts had to walk a long road trying to find a ride to the bus stop. Now there is room for another "guest" at 30.000 bucks.in the time i was there this happened at leased once a week The councillors he hires are all low paid retired, or just out of school, desperate, for a job kids. The dog "coco" was never ever. Walked by Mr Derry or cared for. He ran loose till the bylaw cops and the neighbors shut him down... What does Mr Derry do? Chains him up, for a year then gets rid of him... Kind of like his "guests" in my time there he had 3 women stay over night, have breakfast with the guests in the morning, till Jane... The 4th.."smart woman "... Marry into money... And now the director. The place is a sham... Its a bed and breakfast, with counseling. So no authority can monitor it this is why Mr Derry will never legally, change the name from" bed and breakfast" to a real world class addition centre
