Agency. Eighty. Nine. Well, lets see. It was been open for approx. 2years now. The so called 'president' of the agecny is Cortney Sells. She claims that her agency is the ONLY lisenced modeling agecny in the sate of Nebraska. It may be... But this 'agency' is far from professional.
I have been with the agency for approx. 6months. They told me that I am very very beautiful and I will go far far in the modeling industry. They didn't promise me that I would become America's Next Top Model, however, they did promise me that it would be a good experience. That it was not.
I signed on with the agency at a cost of $3,000. Last time I checked, modeling agencies pay YOU. Not the other way around! Cortney told me herself that they are part of the board of education, therefore there is a tuition cost. Tuition? For what? All they have taught us in class is how to walk down the runway (mind you this is before they made me sign a waiver saying that they are not responsible if i wall off the runway). They have a thick thick binder full of 'homework' that the students are suppose to do. Well guess what!? We dont do ANYTHING out of our binders. Nothing. It is all a scam to make the board of education think that they are a real school. FALSE! This is nothing but a scam. They sign people on to the agecny. Make them pay loads of money and tell them that their dreams are about to come true. Then you attend a 2hour class a WEEK! Learn nothing but runway. Oh. And how to make a resume. Ha. It is nothing but a joke. The sign anyone and everyone on to the agecny JUST TO GET THEIR MONEY. Then you have to make it over the 'agency side' before you can even get jobs!
At the agecny, there is this thing called 'model board'. It is the agencies top 7 male and top 7 female models. Those are the models that get the jobs. No one else. It is always the same ole people that are always in the model board. Never anyone new.
And to top it off. Ms. Cortney Sells (who is only 24 years old mind you) makes her models go out and 'scout' people for HOURS... Without paying her models. There is also the 'Fire-n-Ice Show' which Corteny claims to be the largest fashion show in the midwest... This is a completely unpaid fashion show. Models get NOTHING. You see? It is all a joke. I can honestly not think of ONE even that I have attened... in which my agent, Cortney Sells, did not show up so drunk that she could barely walk. I mean... Wow. Board of Education uh? What would they say?
This agecny is VERY VERY good at lying and twisting their words. Belive me, if you have singed on... Then you know what I mean.
Stay away from agency eight nine!!!
