We went to the school open house on 3/14/08. We were convinced by Mrs. Anderson at the admission office to enroll for my daughter 1st grade coming this Fall of 2008.initially, she was saying that we have till mid
May to enroll. But she said if we do it today, 3/14/08, we will have a $100 discount.instead of paying $300, we only have to pay $200. When I asked if we decided to back out, can we get all $200 back? She said yes because normally there is a $100 non refundable fee involved if we have decided to change our mind later. Mrs. Anderson said the $100 discount given to us if we enroll today will be applied as the non refundable charge. Thus, we will get the $200 back.
On May 7th, I called and talked to Mrs. Anderson at Sonrise Christian School about cancelling the enrollment and demanded the $200 back. She told me that I will only get back $100 because there is a $100 non refundable fee. I told Mrs. Anderson what she had told us on March 14 about getting the full $200 back if we have decided to cancel. She then said she had never mentioned anything about using $100 discount as
a non refundable fee. And she said she had never mentioned about giving $200 back to us if we have decided to cancel.
How can Sonrise Christian School expects us as parents to put our kids to learn honest and trust if the adults there cannot maintain these principles themselves?
