I bought a drive, received it, and determined it was bad... Not to mention it was a drive from a test lot from Western Digital and may have never worked properly from the start. I returned it to Comp-Recycle and haven't heard from them since. They have my money, and I have no drive. Calling them is next to impossible, since they hardly ever answer the phone, and they have yet to respond to one of my many emails. Now, 8-31-00, you will find their phone is disconnected, and they'll tell you it's due to the fact they're moving to a larger facility... And to just go ahead and place your order online.
DO NOT order from them! I was willing to gamble, and I lost.
And so far, the BBB hasn't been able to help me either! Unfortunately, I returned the drive in the same package in which it was received... That was the box with my COD receipt. Without that proof of purchase, the BBB won't be able to help me.
It's not so much the money that irritates me, it's the fact that a company like this can exist, and exist, and exist...
All I want is to shut them down to prevent future online shoppers from being taken too!
