I went to Invention Technologies after seeing thier promising commerical of getting an idea promoted, and manufactured, and making millions of dollars, and securing a future for myself, and my family. Being 26 years old, and a single mother of a two year old this was very important to me. I had come up with the I thought original idea of a fertilizing sprinkler, invent tech called it the fertilizing sprinkler hose, wich was at first strange to me, but the chaching sounds were very loud in my head after I talked with one of their promising, and hyperactive sales reps that convinced me to go to my 82 year old Grandmother, and borrow $6,000 from her to market my invention at supposed trade shows that were going on around the world selling my idea to companies that would jump at the opportunity to purchase such a brilliant piece of equipment such as a sprinkler that would mix fertilizer in a tub below the sprinkler head, and spit out the water, and fertilizer at peoples thirsty plants, or grass. After purchasing their services for a cool $6,000 from my elderly grandmother's credit card, I started receiving these business like white envelopes with the Invention Technologies logo on the outside of the upper left hand corner of the crisp white envelope, I excitedly opened my first envelope thinking I was receiving news of my multibillion dollar profits about to come pouring through my door, when it was a questionaire I had to fill out telling about myself, my idea, and how I came about creating my idea of brilliance that was going to make my mark in the world of technology, then it came to the question of did anyone employed at Invention Technologies promise you would sell your invention? Well, being an honest small town girl from Idaho, I said yes, the signed my name at the bottom of the page, well a few weeks later I got an phone call from a disgruntled sales representative from Invention Technologies (I think his name was Josh) upset that I had told the truth about him making promises about selling my invention! I then replied with a well you did, then he yelled into the phone Well Sarah, I didnt promise you the world! @$@%$#&, upset that I had upset him, and maybe screwed up my chances of getting my foot in the door of success, I apologized, and promised to sign a document stating that I hadn't been promised anything. After signing that document, I received many more white envelopes with advertisements they wanted me to send to these companies, and they wanted me to pay postage for, after paying them $6,000!! Then they went on to tell me I would have to pay like $2,000 to even get a pass to go to any of these supposed amazing conventions they went to, and presented my invention to interested companies! Finally becomming suspicious I went online, and looked around, after being told by invention technologies that they had searched far, and wide for any other inventions, or ideas that even came close to my idea that would be cometitive with my product, and comming back to me with this totall professional looking market research grapf, and a shiny piece of paper saying Sarah we have searched far, and wide, and we guarantee that there is nothing of the sort that comes close to comparison of your idea its completely, and totally safe to go ahead, and invest in this opportunity, blah, blah, blah, well I got the bright idea to look up fertilizing sprinkler, and geuse what? There it was clear as day a fertilizing sprinkler exactly like mine first search, no sweat on my brow from extensive brain wracking computer surfing, first try there it was a company with a patent, and everything! They had had this thing for sale on thier web page since the 90"s they said, I went to Invention Technologies, and you can guess the legal mumbojumbo run around they gave me. I wasted my poor grandmothers money, and my hopes, and beliefs on someone that I had just spoken with on the telephone. I learned a very expensive lesson. Unfortunately my grandmother had to go along for the ride, and my daughter too.invention Technologies knew exactly what they pulled, they knew I was a single mom, and that the money came from my grandmother, it didn't make a diference to them.
