Employment SCAM RIPOFF They recruit experienced salesreps on internet and mislead! $400.00 ripoff

Superior Lamp recruits sales representatives on Monster.com. I responded to thier ad because it sounded like a dream come true, one on one training, nothing required from me but ambition and the desire to sell.

They hook you like this— with a clear indication that you will-if you accept the job; Make 50K to 60 k your 1st year with them, 75 to 80 k 2nd year, and over 100 k by 4th year. They say/advertise on thier website that you will get 90 days (3 months) of "one on one" training, complete support from them, mentors, training materials, an all expense paid trip to New Jersey to thier home office, they ask for no more than 40 hours a week selling.

The clincher is after they get you all pumped up and excited, they tell you that they just need $350.00 and another $49.00 to "make sure that your serious " about working for them. I repeatedly asked what the $350.00 was for and just was told its money to make sure I was serious about wanting the job.

So they pumped me full of sunshine and praised my sales experience and convinced me that I was the very best candidate for the job.

All I had to do was send them $399.00 and then I could start. I told them I couldnt start for 2 weeks, they said in a phone interview with me that wouldnt be a problem. They said on a thursday that I would get some "training materials and supplies" shipped overnight and my package would arrive the following Monday at around 10 30 am. So I thought great I can get the materials and go over them for a week and then be ready to start the following Monday with a trainer.

Monday came and I got a phone call from them, they had forgotten to ship my materials and supplies - but they wanted me to talk to some trainers there in New Jersey. The "trainer" got on the phone with me and started his speal with me. More sunshine pumping up my ass. Then said matter of factly that I would have to get 100 prospects in 2 and 1/2 days and to turn them in as I got them - by fax or email. I told him I didnt have any materials or training. He emailed me a little speal that I was instructed to say to prospective customers. And that I needed to hit the ground running to get 1oo prospects by Wednesday.

I couldnt believe that he/they expected me to do this with NO training or support or materials and after I had told them I couldnt start until the following Monday. He insisted and persisted and connived until I agreed I would try - without any training or materials. I went out and tried a few account prospects and realized what a fool I must look like trying to sell something I know nothing about. So I called them back and said I couldnt do this without training or materials.

They said that's fine I would get them by the next day and that I could start then. I didnt get my materials until that Friday. I was so frustrated and furious at this point. I just said screw this Ive been had. They make you sign a REIMBURSEMENT GUARANTEE that says you wont get your $350.00 back unless you sell $6000 worth of lighting orders. They did check out ok as far as complaints on the BBB site, but come to find out that the BBB does NOT take EMPLOYEE/EMPLOYER complaints. HadI seen one single complaint about them from an employee or prospective employee on the BBB Site. I would have changed my mind.

I signed the agreement mentioned above, thinking I would get 3 months of IN PERSON one on one training, and material support.

I got nothing but scammed out of $400.00!!
