Denny Hilliard has a history of making money by ripping off consumers and other companies! (That's called Racketeering!) His latest business scam has been his company called American Auto Management, LLC. He set up a business that would attract people who are trying to get out of loan or lease payments on a vehicle.
You turn your car over to them, and they claim to find a "user" for your vehicle to make all the monthly payments. They GUARANTEE that if the user doesn't make their payment, they will! I entered into a contract with them, since they were emphatic about how well they ran their business, and because I had no reason to NOT believe that they wouldn't keep their part of the deal. I WAS SO WRONG!
My other consumer complaints outlines more of the specifics for my situation. But Denny and his manager, Eddie Calles, compeletly ignored my efforts to rectify the situation when they weren't making the payments on my vehicle.
They never returned phone calls, never responded to letters or emails, didn't respond to either my BBB complaint nor my Attorney General complaint. And just this week they have shut down their business and disappeared!
Denny's gone into hiding... Again
I have had two background checks run on Denny Hilliard and done much of my own researching, and I have found a number of things to support my claim that his fraudulent practices with AAM is NOT AN ISOLATED INCIDENT.
Denny and his wife, Elizabeth Anne Hilliard, filed a chapter 7, no asset, bankruptcy in 2003 where they discharged a VERY large number of debts. Associated with this bankruptcy were two of Denny's other businesses, Hilliard Enterprises & Hilliard Landscaping. Apparently Hilliard Landscaping is still running in Lake Havasu City, Denny's home town.
I found record of a "Certificate and Notice of Right to do Business under an Alternative Name, " dated 10/3/00. The name of that business was NET STRATEGIES DESIGN. Only 5 months later, you'll find that Denny Hilliard, his wife, brother - Michael Ford Hilliard, and a number of other couples were taken to court for Racketeering according to section 1968 of the RICO Act.
Denny had a civil judgment against him in 1998. Who knows what that is all about... I know there are a lot of people recently screwed trying to find him, but he just ignores everyone. He must be hiding out in Lake Havasu City, and who knows who he is ripping off there.
By the way, Denny Hilliard's cell phone # is 480-227-5760. His name is still on the message, but good luck getting him to answer the phone, let alone call you back.
Denny's fraudulent practices has damaged my credit and cost me over $4,000, not including pain, suffering & aggravation. I'm a single woman living on a teacher salary, and it's ridiculous I have had to deal with being ripped-off by this corporate bully and intimidated by his cohorts.
His manager, Eddie Calles, yelled at me and threatened to call the police when I went into their office and confronted them with their breach of contract. One of their buddies was driving my car, and I was the one getting stuck with the payments!
I told them to give me my car back, and Eddie refused. He just yelled at me and didn't do anything to rectify the breach. So he figures a stupid girl won't be able to do anything... Too bad for her. Well he is WRONG!
Eddie has his own history... Like being charged with narcotics possession, not paying child support. He and his ex-wife even filed bankruptcy back in their mid-20's! Sounds like he's another Denny Hilliard - trying to get something for nothing.
These guys need to be brought to justice! I have the police coming over to take a fraud report since they knowingly wrote a bad check and sent it to my lienholder, thinking that would buy them some time. We will get these guys somehow or another. If you have also been ripped off, PLEASE SPEAK UP and join us in the fight!
