Recently I have caught somebody in a scam. I have not fallen for the scam, but I have caught it in action.
This scam involves a company named Qchex.com. Somebody has already posted a case exactly like mine. This person was chatting with a model from Africa who sent him a check to cash so she could fly over to live in America. I knew from the start this was a scam and I was catching the (dumb) person in the middle of it. First the person will instant message you. SHE will be very direct and to the point. She will want to send you a check that you will cash and wire to her via Western Union.in my case I was told 4000. The check was actually 3500. Just a little off.
All the information I gave her was my name, address, city, state, and zip (just enough to send me mail.in this case a check). Now ask yourself this: Who in there right mind would send you a check for that much money after only talking to you for 15 minutes? Sound to good to be true? That is because it is. It sounds so good that its bad and dangerous. So I lead on this on-line attacker by acting as if I believed what was being said. I have yet to contact the secret services, but plan on doing so very soon.
I feel very bad for those of you on this website (and around the USA) that have been conned by these foreign predators. I am doing this to help you get the justice you deserve. It was very obvious to me, but unfortunately for a lot innocent fellow Americans it was not so obvious. I feel that as a person who still holds evidence of this scam in my hands that it will be of great benefit to the conned for it will serve as evidence of an awful scam that must be stopped.
