Slashed countertop from vacuvent's equipment falling on it

On June 02 a worker (Bob) from VacuVent came to clean my vents and dropped a large piece of equipment on my kitchen counter, putting a deep slanted gouge in the front. I had gotten several estimates of around $2,000 to replace the whole counter (good only for around 90 days, then it goes up), because it cannot be matched or repaired permanently. VacuVent sent their man Steve to look at the damage and took a phone picture of it, I have a picture also. Then Vacuvent sent a counter man from Vero that they knew, but he said it was not cost effective for him to do it. I have called many, many times to receive reimbursement for my damage, sent them a fax with the several estimates I got, and was absolutely told 3 or 4 times that my check was sent, it has never arrived. They never return my calls and I've stayed civil with them, even though they have given me false hopes so many times. Since then I had to try to repair the gouge, just to be able to use my counter normally. I could not afford to replace it myself and the bill came to $340. I sent VacuVent a fax of my bill along with a letter asking for reimbursement for this temporary fix and again they said the check would be processed and sent in the mai which never came.

VacuVent has been so remiss and seems to have no intention of sending me the amount to get my whole countertop replaced and the temporary patch to get us through the holidays. I also paid them $250. To get my vents cleaned in good faith that they were going to stand by their promise to fix this problem.

The BBB said they have an F rating and no insurance, only licensing. They are contimuing to advertise and have added Coastal Environmental, another Company under the same licensing number. This is really so unfair, let alone all the calls I have made through these months that they have led me along time after time saying the check had been mailed. It is just wrong that they continue to run their business with such bad ethics.

Also even though I called Savings Safari who runs their ad every month and explained VacuVent's lack of being insured and the bad rating they have with BBB; Savings Safari continues to run VacuVent's ads and have expanded and added Coastal Environmental, without any insurance that I can see on their adds. They only give Lic#CAC1815655 for both companies with James T. Clark as the degreed mechanical engineer and certified mold inspector.

I'm looking for the full amount for my countertop replacement, now around $2.200 (the estimates are only good for 90 days and they continue to go up), plus the $340 for my temporary repair bill, and the $250 they charged me for vents (that were supposed to be only$25.00 whole house price, with free dryer vent cleaning) that I in good faith paid, thinking they would honor their statement that everything would be paid for. $2,800 should do it for now, if they don't procrastinate. I also reported VacuVent to the Florida Dept. Of Agriculture & Consumer Services and The Dept. Of Business and Prof. Regulations to no avail, because VacuVent did not respond to any of these notificationsAnd I have yet to ever speak to the owner, who, I was told only stops by the pick up the money. Also their in house attorney Keith McCormakck never, never called me back to discuss any of this in spite my many calls to iron all this out.

I hope I will be satisfactorily paid and that no one else will be so disillusioned as I have been in the terrible ethics of some companies. This has been very upsetting to me and given me much grief. Any help in this matter will be deeply appreciated.
