Found the ad on Craigslist for this 3 bdrm single family on on the beach on the Island of Molokai for $700.00 a month. The ad showed pictures of a large master bedroom suite and exterior pictures as well as a map of where the home was located.
The ad read just like the other ads I've read from these people (only the location was different)
I emailed them with some questions and they responded back by sending me a weird "rental application" and telling me that they were missionaries in West Africa, and that they wanted someone to rent their place for 6-8 years. Again, all the same wording that they have used on the Seattle ad someone else wrote about.
We know the area in Molokai fairly well and couldn't quite picture where this house was so we looked at the public records in Maui County and couldn't find anything at this location or anything owed by the Morgans on that Island. Then my husband wrote their names down in google and we saw the complaint about them.
I can't believe people do this and I have no idea how they sleep at night. I also can't believe that I was really excited about this find and could of possibly fell into this scam. Really makes me mad.
