BBB and Trustpilot figures for Wonder
BBB. Wonder, New York, NY (alternate name Wonder Group Inc) is not BBB Accredited. BBB rates it F and gives two reasons: 8 complaints filed against the business and no response to 3 of them. BBB shows 8 complaints in the last 3 years, 7 of them in the last 12 months, and no customer reviews. By type, 4 complaints concern product issues, 2 delivery, 1 customer service and 1 service or repair. Wonder answered 5 of the 8; in 3 of those the customer told BBB the matter was resolved.
What the complaints describe. Missing or wrong items in an order, a promo discount that support had promised and then did not apply, a gift card and payment cards rejected on a new account, and an account deletion requested in June 2025 that was still pending in late September; Wonder confirmed the deletion on 10/17/2025. In its replies Wonder refunded the gift card purchase and two orders to the original payment method. Two complaints have no reply from Wonder: one says postal marketing addressed to a former resident kept arriving after a removal request, and one alleges that family members became ill after a meal. BBB does not verify what complainants say, and these two remain unanswered allegations.
Trustpilot. The Trustpilot page for wonder.com shows a 1.7 score from 30 reviews. Wonder has not claimed the profile, so it does not reply there.

Do it the same day, while the order is fresh: photograph what arrived, note the order number and list each missing or wrong item. BBB lists two phone numbers for Wonder, (424) 320-0944 and (855) 818-5755, but neither is confirmed as a customer support line, so the app and the Help Center are the channels to use first.
Credit or refund. In the BBB complaints, Wonder's support first offered an account credit for missing items. Customers who wanted their money back asked for a refund to the original payment method, in writing, and Wonder's later replies on BBB did refund to the original card: the full $66.68 of one pickup order, $20.58 for an order after a promo dispute, and $28.72 for a gift card that a blocked new account could not use. If you prefer cash to credit, say so plainly in your first message.
Promo codes and gift cards. In its BBB replies Wonder said a new-customer promo is tied to the phone number on the account, so one already redeemed under that number cannot be used again, and that a manually added discount applied only to select restaurants. Ask support to confirm in writing which restaurants and orders a promised discount covers before you order.
If Wonder does not resolve it.
- Card issuer. For a charge for food you did not receive or that was not as ordered, dispute it with your card issuer. On a credit card, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the date the statement with the charge was sent to dispute it in writing; debit card and app-wallet rules are set by your bank.
- BBB. File at bbb.org. Wonder answered 5 of the 8 complaints there and refunded in several of them.
- State attorney general. File with the consumer protection office of your state attorney general. Wonder is based in New York, so the New York Attorney General's Bureau of Consumer Frauds and Protection also takes complaints.
- FTC. Report deceptive pricing, promotions or billing at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
- Food safety. If you or your family got sick, report it to the health department of the city or county where the food hall is; for New York City, call 311.

Who Wonder is and what it operates
Business. Fortune reported in July 2026 that Wonder runs 135 food halls in 10 East Coast states. Each kitchen cooks up to 30 restaurant concepts, so one order placed in the Wonder app can combine dishes from several of them, and Wonder delivers the food with its own couriers. Marc Lore, who earlier sold Jet.com to Walmart, founded Wonder in 2018 and leads it.
Other businesses. Wonder bought the meal-kit company Blue Apron in 2023 for $103 million. In January 2025 it completed its purchase of Grubhub from Just Eat Takeaway for $650 million, a price that included $500 million of Grubhub debt, according to Nation's Restaurant News. Grubhub and Blue Apron still run their own websites and help centers (support.grubhub.com and support.blueapron.com), so a problem with an order placed on Grubhub or Blue Apron goes to that company's support, not to Wonder's.

Criticism and the company's answer. Fortune noted that Reddit users in New York, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. have accused Wonder of misleading branding, of being a ghost kitchen, of inflating reviews and of mislabeling dishes as gluten free. These are allegations by individual posters. Lore rejects them; he told Fortune that Wonder's kitchens use no microwaves, do not reheat food and cook every order fresh.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Wonder?
Wonder is a New York food company that, according to Fortune in July 2026, runs 135 food halls in 10 East Coast states. Each kitchen cooks up to 30 restaurant concepts; you order in the Wonder app for pickup or delivery by Wonder's own couriers. Marc Lore founded it in 2018 and leads it. Wonder also owns Grubhub and Blue Apron.
Does Wonder own Grubhub?
Wonder completed its purchase of Grubhub from Just Eat Takeaway in January 2025 for $650 million, including $500 million of Grubhub debt, according to Nation's Restaurant News. Grubhub still runs its own website and help center (support.grubhub.com), so problems with an order placed on Grubhub go to Grubhub support. Wonder also owns the meal-kit company Blue Apron, bought in 2023.
How do I contact Wonder support?
Use the Wonder Help Center at help.wonder.com, which opens a support portal where you sign in with your email address. For a problem with a specific order, the order help in the Wonder app is the other direct route. BBB lists two phone numbers for Wonder, (424) 320-0944 and (855) 818-5755, but neither is confirmed as a customer support line. Have your order number and photos of the order ready.
What do complainants say about missing items and refunds?
In one BBB complaint, a $66.68 pickup order had one wrong item and two missing items. Wonder's online tool offered only a credit, and support issued $5.09. The customer argued that tax had not been refunded. Wonder replied that discounts had lowered the subtotal before tax, so the $5.09 already included the right tax, apologized for the support experience and refunded the remaining $61.59, so the whole order was refunded. This is one customer's account and the company's reply, not a stated refund policy.
What happened in the BBB complaint about a gift card and a blocked account?
A BBB complaint dated 10/05/2026 says payment methods and a Wonder gift card were rejected on a new account and support said orders could not be placed from it. In its response dated 10/13/2026 Wonder said its automated fraud controls had wrongly flagged the transaction, that it could not restore ordering on that account, and that it refunded the $28.72 gift card purchase to the original payment method.
How many BBB complaints does Wonder have?
BBB shows 8 complaints against Wonder, New York, NY in the last 3 years, 7 of them in the last 12 months. Wonder did not respond to 3, which is one of the two reasons BBB gives for its F rating. Wonder is not BBB Accredited, and the profile has no customer reviews.
How long can account deletion take?
In one BBB complaint dated 09/25/2025, a customer said an account deletion requested online in June 2025 was still pending more than two months later. Wonder replied on 10/17/2025 that the account had been fully deleted and its data removed, and the customer confirmed the matter was resolved. This is one case, not a stated policy; if a deletion request stalls, follow up in writing through the Help Center and keep a copy.
What does Trustpilot show for Wonder?
The Trustpilot page for wonder.com shows a 1.7 score from 30 reviews. Wonder has not claimed the profile, so the company does not reply to reviews there. The score reflects what those reviewers posted, not a finding by this site.
