Allivet pet pharmacy: prescription holds, AutoShip cancellation, returns and refunds, and who to contact (checked October 12, 2026)

Which company this is. Allivet (allivet.com) is an online pet and animal pharmacy at 14540 NW 60th Avenue, Miami Lakes, Florida. The Florida business registry lists the operating entity as Agropec Trading, LLC, and BBB lists that name as an alternate name of Allivet. Since December 30, 2024 it has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Tractor Supply Company, and Tractor Supply's own pet pharmacy page says prescriptions ordered through "Tractor Supply Pet & Animal Pharmacy" are "fulfilled and dispensed by Allivet, a Tractor Supply Company". The page says this applies to "all prescription products ordered through Tractor Supply Pet & Animal Pharmacy"; other items sold on tractorsupply.com are not covered by that statement. Tractor Supply's own page also says an order can be cancelled "up to 59 minutes after you have placed it" through its Contact Us form or at 1-877-718-6750, which is a separate rule from Allivet AutoShip cancellation described below.

Prescription orders and delays. Allivet says it verifies each prescription: you enter the pet and veterinary clinic details at checkout and "we take care of the rest". Its shipping page says to "allow 1-2 days for vet clinic approvals on orders that include prescription items and an additional 24-48 hours to process prescription orders", and Tractor Supply's page says that if you mail an original prescription instead, orders "ship only after receiving the original prescription". The shipping page attributes this wait to vet clinic approvals; the number to call about a held order is 1-877-500-9944 (Monday to Friday 8 AM-7 PM EST, Saturday 9 AM-5 PM EST, per the company).

AutoShip: how to change or cancel. Per the Terms of Use (last modified June 24, 2026), you can cancel "at any time via My AutoShip, which can be found under the My Account tab". For each later shipment Allivet says it sends a pre-shipment email up to 72 hours before the ship date, and that you can edit or cancel during the window that ends at 12:00 AM on the day before the ship date; after that the order is authorized and a payment authorization hold is placed. The AutoShip page puts the same cut-off as "midnight EST the day before". For pharmacy products, the separate Pharmacy Auto-Ship Terms (last modified January 2, 2025) say that if a pharmacy product "is refilled by the Company following its receipt of this notice of cancellation, the Company will provide a full refund for said order". Keep a screenshot or email of the cancellation confirmation.

Returns and refunds. The return policy says unused, unopened items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days for a replacement or refund (shipping charges on returned items are non-refundable), after you call 1-877-500-9944 for a return authorization. It also says "PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ARE NOT RETURNABLE" and "VACCINES OR COLD ITEMS ARE NOT RETURNABLE", citing state and federal regulations, and that veterinary diet food has a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. Missing or damaged items must be reported "within 72 hours of order receipt" to [email protected] or by phone. The policy also gives the return address as "Allivet - Returns, 14540 NW 60th Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL 33014" and says to call for the authorization first. Prescription drugs are outside the standard return process; for questions or concerns about prescription items in an order, the policy says to call the Customer Care Specialists at 1-877-500-9944. The policy does not state what resolution follows, so keep the label, packaging and order number.

If you have a safety concern or a dispute. For a side effect, a wrong drug or dose, or a product defect, the FDA's page on reporting animal drug problems lists these as reportable events and explains how to file; tell your veterinarian as well. For billing or service disputes, you can file with your card issuer, with the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov, with your state attorney general, with the BBB, or with the board of pharmacy in your state or in Florida. Note that Allivet's Terms of Use contain an arbitration clause and a class-action waiver (see the FAQ below); the same terms say claims can be brought in small claims court and that either side must give 60 days' written notice before starting arbitration.

Who operates Allivet, the Tractor Supply acquisition, and what the company says

Operator and ownership. The Florida Division of Corporations record for AGROPEC TRADING, LLC (document L17000041105, status Active, principal address 14540 NW 60th Avenue, Miami Lakes) shows an effective date of 12/09/1993 and a 2017 filing that converted the older AGROPEC TRADING, INC. (document P93000084421, filed 12/10/1993, now inactive) into the LLC; both records carry the same FEI/EIN. One authorized person is titled "Vice President - Rx Operations, Allivet". BBB's page for Allivet lists "Agropec Trading, LLC" as an alternate name and gives the same street address.

Acquisition by Tractor Supply. Tractor Supply Company announced on October 24, 2024 that it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire Allivet, "a privately held online pet pharmacy", and on December 30, 2024 that the acquisition was complete; financial terms were not disclosed in the press release. Tractor Supply's annual report for fiscal 2025 (filed February 19, 2026) says the company "acquired 100% of the equity interest in Allivet for a purchase price of $135.0 million", financed with cash on hand, and that it operates the pharmacy through both TractorSupply.com and Allivet.com. The press release also says that Allivet's PetRx platform had been Tractor Supply's digital pet pharmacy partner for several years.

What the company says about itself. Allivet's About Us page says it has provided access to pet medications and supplements "since 1992", is "fully licensed in all 50 states" and a ".Pharmacy Verified website" under the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, operates three warehouse facilities, and offers a B2B solution that lets retailers sell pet pharmacy services under their own brand. A separate page lists a pharmacy licence number for each state (Florida: PH22570). These are the company's statements; the licence numbers were not independently checked against each state's register for this page. Its Product Guarantee page says that medications are "genuine FDA / EPA U.S. approved products" and offers price matching against U.S.-based licensed online pet pharmacies within 30 days of purchase, with listed conditions.

Policy details that differ between pages. The home page advertises AutoShip savings of "up to 50%" on the first order of each medication plus 5% on future shipments, while the AutoShip page says "up to 40% on your first order PLUS 5% on future shipments". The company's pages checked on October 12, 2026 were not consistent on the first-order figure, so check the discount shown at checkout. The AutoShip page also says AutoShip accepts only credit cards ("No checks or money orders").

BBB, Trustpilot and ComplaintsBoard figures, and complaints on this site

Figures as displayed on October 12, 2026 (kept in this section only; each source is separate and they are not added together).

  • BBB: profile for Allivet, Miami Lakes, FL; BBB Accredited, letter rating A+. BBB's page data give an accreditation date of September 21, 2018, a file-opened date of June 14, 2007, and a business-start and incorporation date of December 10, 1993. The complaints tab shows "79 total complaints in the last 3 years" and "27 complaints filed in the last 12 months"; the first entry on the complaints page, which was the latest visible one when opened on October 12, 2026, is dated September 5, 2026 (type "Delivery Issues", status "Answered"); BBB says the displayed text might not represent all complaints filed. The complaints filter lists "Complaint Resolved (45)" and "Complaint Answered (34)". The customer reviews tab shows "1.18 /5 stars" and "Average of 68 Customer Reviews". BBB reviews and BBB complaints are separate counts, and a BBB letter grade is not a customer rating. BBB's overview of ratings describes the letter grade as based on "complaint history, transparency, and available public data" across seven rating elements.
  • Trustpilot: claimed profile (since March 2017), 4.0 from 4,598 reviews. Trustpilot shows the notice that the company has no recent history of asking for reviews, so they may not be representative, and that the company replied to 100% of negative reviews. Trustpilot does not fact-check reviews.
  • ComplaintsBoard: 1.2 from "2 reviews and 26 complaints" (page updated September 13, 2026); the page also lists "1 Resolved" and "25 Unresolved" complaints as submitted by users; user submissions on a third-party site, not combined with the BBB figures.

Why the figures differ. The three sources collect different kinds of input (BBB complaints filed through BBB, BBB customer reviews, open consumer reviews on Trustpilot, user submissions on ComplaintsBoard), and each has its own moderation, so the numbers are not comparable. Allivet also publishes a page of selected customer testimonials on its own site, which is the company's selection and is not a count of anything.

Complaints on this site. One older complaint is linked to this profile: a 2007 post alleging that the wrong medication was sent and that a refund was refused because the box had been opened (about $50). That is a single reader's account from 2007, published as submitted, and does not describe how Allivet operates today; the company's current return policy, quoted above, says prescription drugs are not returnable. A second post from 2012 was not used because its text states no facts about an order. Recent complaints are best reviewed at the BBB complaints tab, where the company's responses are shown.

Court dockets and regulator record

Court dockets located (sources checked on October 12, 2026: CourtListener RECAP search for "Allivet", the dockets below, and Tractor Supply's SEC filings). Two federal civil dockets name Agropec Trading, LLC, the Florida entity that BBB lists as an alternate name of Allivet, as the defendant. The dockets list the nature of suit only; the public index does not show the complaint's allegations about Allivet's website or calls, so they are not described here beyond the stated cause.

  • Davis v. Agropec Trading, LLC, No. 1:21-cv-05863 (S.D.N.Y.). Filed July 8, 2021; the cause is listed as the Americans with Disabilities Act. An answer to the complaint was filed on September 1, 2021. On February 28, 2022 the court entered an order stating that, under the parties' stipulation of dismissal, "all claims asserted against Defendant" were "dismissed with prejudice" and each party would bear its own fees and costs.
  • Wiedinmyer v. Agropec Trading, LLC, No. 3:25-cv-06934 (N.D. Cal.). Filed August 15, 2025; the cause is listed as the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (47 U.S.C. 227). The docket shows a motion to compel arbitration (November 10, 2025), an entry labelled "Order on Motion to Compel" on January 20, 2026, a stipulation on September 1, 2026, and a "Terminate Civil Case" entry the same day. The docket index does not state the terms of the order or of any resolution.

Regulators. No FTC, FDA, state attorney general or state pharmacy-board action against Allivet was identified in the sources checked on October 12, 2026 (search-engine queries and CourtListener; the FDA warning-letter database and individual state pharmacy-board discipline lookups were not searched individually, so this is not a statement that none exists). Tractor Supply's fiscal 2025 annual report was searched for Allivet and its mentions concern the acquisition and business description.

Is Allivet Legitimate?

Allivet is operated by a Florida limited liability company, Agropec Trading, LLC, with an active registry record at the same Miami Lakes address that appears on Allivet's contact, returns and terms pages. It has been owned by Tractor Supply Company, a Nasdaq-listed retailer, since December 30, 2024, which Tractor Supply reported in an SEC filing. The company says it holds pharmacy licences in all 50 states and is a .Pharmacy Verified website (these are company statements, with state licence numbers listed on its site). BBB shows Allivet as accredited with an A+ letter rating and also shows an average customer-review score of 1.18 out of 5; Trustpilot shows 4.0 from 4,598 reviews, with the notice that the company has not recently invited reviews. Two federal civil dockets against the operating entity (2021 ADA, 2025 TCPA) are listed above with their current docket status. This page does not give Allivet a score or a verdict; the figures above are shown so that readers can weigh them against their own order.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I cancel Allivet AutoShip?

Allivet's Terms of Use say the subscription stays in effect until cancelled and can be cancelled "at any time via My AutoShip, which can be found under the My Account tab" of the website. The company says it emails a reminder up to 72 hours before each ship date and that changes or cancellation are possible until 12:00 AM on the day before the ship date. For pharmacy products, its Pharmacy Auto-Ship Terms say a full refund is provided if a product is refilled after the company has received a cancellation notice. If the My AutoShip page does not work, call 1-877-500-9944 or email [email protected] and keep the confirmation.

Can I return prescription medication to Allivet?

Allivet's return policy says "PRESCRIPTION DRUGS ARE NOT RETURNABLE" and attributes this to state and federal regulations, with an exception when the drugs are subject to a recall. Vaccines and cold items are also listed as not returnable. Non-prescription items can be returned unused and unopened in the original packaging within 30 days after calling 1-877-500-9944 for authorization; shipping charges on returned items are non-refundable.

What should I do if Allivet sent the wrong or a damaged item?

The return policy says missing or damaged items should be reported to [email protected] or by phone at 1-877-500-9944 "within 72 hours of order receipt" so the order can be corrected. Keep the packaging, label and order number. If a medication given to a pet was the wrong drug or dose, the FDA's animal drug reporting page lists medication errors as a reportable event, and the pet's veterinarian should be told.

Why is my Allivet prescription order on hold?

Allivet's shipping page says to "allow 1-2 days for vet clinic approvals on orders that include prescription items and an additional 24-48 hours to process prescription orders". The company's order flow is: add the medication to the cart, enter the pet and veterinary clinic details, and Allivet verifies the prescription, and the shipping page ties processing to clinic approval; Tractor Supply's page says orders using a mailed original prescription ship only after it is received.

Who owns Allivet?

Tractor Supply Company announced on December 30, 2024 that it had completed its acquisition of Allivet, and its fiscal 2025 annual report says it acquired "100% of the equity interest in Allivet for a purchase price of $135.0 million". The operating entity in the Florida registry is Agropec Trading, LLC, which BBB lists as an alternate name of Allivet.

Is Allivet a licensed pharmacy?

Allivet's About Us page says it is "fully licensed in all 50 states" and a .Pharmacy Verified website under the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy, and a separate page lists a licence number for each state (for example Florida PH22570). These are company statements; the licence numbers were not individually verified against state registers for this page. A state's board of pharmacy can confirm a licence.

Do Allivet's terms require arbitration?

The Terms of Use (last modified June 24, 2026) state that covered disputes "will be settled by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association" under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, with a class-action waiver, an exception for claims in small claims court, a 60-day written notice period before arbitration, and a clause saying claims must be commenced within one year after the cause of action accrues. The terms also say the company will pay filing fees for both parties, with exceptions listed in the text.

Why do Allivet's BBB and Trustpilot figures look so different?

As displayed on October 12, 2026, BBB showed an A+ letter rating, "79 total complaints in the last 3 years" and an average of 1.18 out of 5 from 68 customer reviews, while Trustpilot showed 4.0 from 4,598 reviews with a notice that the company has not recently invited reviews. These come from different systems with different rules and are not combined on this page; the BBB letter grade is calculated separately from customer reviews and considers complaint history and several other business-file factors, so it is not a customer score.
