Front brakes

I am not complaining about the service desk as they were alwaysvery courteous with me and helpful. I am complaining about the product. I have purchased a 2008 Ford Escape from them eighteen months ago with twenty thousand kilometres. After driving it very carefully and being only one driver most of the time, I was informed last week after changing for my winter tires that Ionly had three millimetres of pading left on my front brakes. I am now at thirty five thousand kilometres eighteen months later and am informed that I must replace my front brakes at a cost of $600.00 plus taxes. I bought this car knowing that I would not have to replace major parts for a long time as my husband and Ihave been purchasing cars from that same dealership since itsexistence and we must have bought over ten cars from Ford. Icannot comprehend how the service desk can ex[ect me to acceptthat it is my driving that cause these brakes to wear out so fast. I do understand that we purchased a boat this summer but it is unrealistic that taking the boat six times to the marina for a shortdistance of two kilometres would cause my brakes to go or whatever the reasons could be. My car is not totally paid and here I am after eighteen months replacing the brakes of a car that is two years old. I only use the car to drive around town and maybe once a week on the highway and my husband owns a 2006 ford focus station wagon with one hundred and two klmsand not having to change his breaks. I was informed for financial reason that I could still drive my carfor maybe another month without changing the brakes but I mustsay that I do not feel secure anymore driving my car and am very upset having to deal with this around the xmas season as owing two Ford cars I like to drive around feeling safe. I have to change the tires of our 2006 car but this acceptable as this car is well over one hundred klms and it was expected.

I am wondering if you had any complaints like mine for the front brakes and request that they are replaced at no cost because I was told that the brakes were guaranteed for only one year. It is unconceivable for me to pay over twenty thousand dollarsfor a car and having to replace the brakes after more than a year.

Not drivng my car barely anymore, I would appreciate if you could contact me asap. Merci, Francine Mault 613-446-5847
