Hard to Get A Refund

We bought four 10 oz. Ribeye steaks from their retail store in Oakbrook, IL. On 10/31/09, and paid $64.99. This was their sale price. Thinking that the price per pound was very steep I hesitated but then went ahead and made the purchase since it was for a special family event. Everyone eating the steaks were disappointed—as they lacked flavor and were generally coarse and dry.

The next day after reading on their website that they will refund your money or send you new steaks if unhappy with their meat. I called the next business day. I gave all the necessary information for the refund to a person at their 1-800 number. Unfortunately a credit to my visa card never came through (15 days later).

When I called today to check on it they claimed they didn't any record of my call on November 1. They also said it takes about 2 billing cycles before you'll receive a credit on you credit card statement. With this agent I now had to now repeat the whole process of giving all the necessary information. She reiterated it would take about 2 billing cycles before I would see a credit. After supplying her with 10 minutes of information she said, "We'll you could have just gone back to the store where you made the purchase for a credit."

My experiences with this company has been less than satisfactory and I'll be surprised if I ever get a refund of my money.

The meat is fair at best (you can get better steaks for half the price at Costco) and customer service is worse and In some way wonder about their ethics.
