Ed bozarth chevrolet aurora, colorado springs grand junction and kansas
I had never bought a car from a dealership due to fear that I would be the victum of a scam or burn salesperson, it happened. I bought a 1996 SUBURBAN from ED BOZARTH in Aurora Colorado. ED BOZARTH also has dealerships in AURORA, COLORADO SPRINGS GRAND JUNCTION and KANSAS. I met the salesperson, looked around the lot and found what I was looking for. We talked fiance and I agreed on the price. He had me fill out the paperwork and I stated I had to go back to the office. He said fine, take the truck and we will see you when you drop the check.
Well, on the way to the office there was something wrong with the transmission. Either it shifted so hard that I thought I was rear ended or it stayed in 2nd without shifting at all. I called the salesman and he said" we can't have that. We will look at it when you come in with the check (from the fianace company).
The next day I went to get an emmissions test (mandatory in COLORADO) and the SUBURNAN failed. I went to ED BOZARTH's and explained, they said "we'll fix it" and I left the truck. The next day they said it was finished, I tested again and passed, (they SAY they did a tune up) and thought everything was fine.
THREE days later the tranny did the same thing so I called the lot, left messages, and GOT NO RESPONSE. A few days later I called AGAIN, talked to the salesman and he stated "I'll see what I can do and have my boss call you but you KNOW you bought this truck AS IS." Since then I have had no contact out of 4 calls and 3 emails (the SERVICE manager DID call me to listen to the complaint and said he would pass it on the the GM and the USED CAR MANAGER. I STILL HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM.
I have found from others that this type of problem is EXPENSIVE to correct $. If you are thinking of buying a SUBURBAN or other CHEVY PRODUCT, by all means do. I have found them to be very good autos. But do not buy from ed bozarth. As of this time I have convinced 4 auto buyers to test drive at ED BOZARTH but to purchase elsewhere. (They all have made excellent deals.) Do me a favor, don't let ED BOZARTH do this to another consumer.
