I had a problem with my car transmission. They offer "free diagnostics" but the only way to diagnose what was wrong with it was to open up the transmission. After they told me what was wrong with it, I found someone else who'd do it cheaper. They said "OK, you can take it but you have to pay almost $300 to put the transmission back together (!?)"
So I was stuck with them. They told me it would be ready in 2 days. It wasn't ready on that day. They said call back tomorrow - so I missed a day of work. Called back the next day they said it's not ready yet. So I missed 2 days of work. It would have been perfectly fine if they'd told me that it's going to take 4 days, at least I could've planned and found a way to get to work - not this bullshit lies!
When they first told me how much it was going to cost, I asked for a breakdown and then went to part stores and found the parts for much cheaper. I told the manager that, and he seemed embarrased and said "I'll call the warehouse" but agreed to lower the price of the part that I found. If I wouldn't do my own research, I'd ended up paying double of the price for that part!
