Ocwen has refused to refund money they took from my checking account. They told me to pay by check which I did, while at the same time they autowithdrew a second mortgage payment. My checks were bouncing and since then I have not had the money returned. My mortgage was sold to them by Chase. After many phone calls and false promises, I have filed complaints with governmental agencies. If you are a victim of Ocwen's fraudulent loan servicing practices, please go to the website for Florida's Department of Financial Regulations where you can easily file a report. I was told there had been an investigation but it was closed. Shocking to hear considering all the complaints I've read online. I am going forward with trying to take this to another level. I feel for all the people whose credit ratings are being destroyed by Ocwen, and whose houses have been fraudulently foreclosed, and the money that has been stolen from homeowners. One website stated that banks were selling risky mortgages to Ocwen in order to "help" the mortgage owners. Seems to me that once again the banking institutions have found a way to steal from the American people again after throwing us under the bus with that bubble time when my house was supposedly worth $100,000 more than it is now. God help us all.
