David Smart (IF that was his real name) had a company called Tax Relief Specialists, LLC. He promised to help people with their IRS debt and problems. Then all of a sudden, his phone was turned off. Then it was on again. But by 9 AM the voice mail woudl be full. Many letters were sent to their address at P.O. Box 11817, Alexandria, La 71418.
None were replied to NOR was any calls made. I personally drove to thier office and no one had been there for MONTHS. I do not know where the calls are routed to but someone either just deletes them without listening or just does not reply.
THere are MANY who he has left in dire straits because of his apathy. I talked to a tennant next to their old office and he said I was not the first to come there looking for them. He has gained lots of money from trusting people and then just vanished. He did have a wife named Noreen, but that is all I know. I know that no one in the Alexandria area will own up to being related to him so I would almost think that he is from some other area. I know that I have called and left many messages as others have also. He has stolen money from people, and left them high and dry.
I do not know if he was still getting payments from people in his mailbox or not. If so, would that not constitute federal fraudd? I wonder how many people are being left in some serious trouble with Uncle Sam now that they do not have him "in their corner"??
What he has done is wrong. I wonder how he can sleep at night?
I do know it is a crime to take money from people (1800 dollars and up each case) and skip out on them. He even has an ad in the New Yellow Pages in the Monroe, Louisiana phone book. It goes to the same voice mail. David, how can to live with yourself? This was so wrong to do to all of us who trusted you to help us. Rip off!
