This website is advertising that entrepeneurs who are looking for qualified investors, like myself, can sign up for free. You put up a profile and describe your investment and supposedly, investors will view this and potentially contact you; Investors such as "interested" VC Groups or Angel Investors who are interested in your project. You cannot respond to messages unless you upgrade to a "copper membership". I was initially a free bronze member and was enticed to join based on email messages sent to me from 12 potential Investors who seemed extremely interested.
After I paid the $99, it turns out that 6 of the messages, which were sent to me, were not real as it did not allow me to respond. Out of the ones I did respond to (5 people), only 2 responded and sent me emails stating that they found "another investment". I didnt even talk with them or provide information, and they had a strong interest, but the next day they changed their minds? I immediately knew that this was a scam. That the people who sent me these texts probably worked for the company and wrote these messages just to get me to join. That is Fraud.
So on 9/20/10 at 3 pm, I contacted the number on the website which had a Miami based number but directed me to a call center in Canada. On 10 attempts, no one answered the phone. A few hours later, a rep named Jason told me that the people who sent me these messages had membership suspended, but he didnt know the reason why. He said he worked for an independent call center and that the website was "self sustaining". He also said he was in Florida, but had a Canadian Accent as did another rep.
Isnt that interesting that they would be suspended an investor a few minutes after sending me an email message. I believe that all my messages were fake. And a lure to entice me to sign up. I found over 45 individuals online who experienced the same thing. Also, some of the messages to me on my page were from VC Companies which I had contacted today in California. I spoke with Cloey from a VC Capital Group in Los Angeles and she specifically stated that NO ONE from her office has anything to do with fundsgo.com. This is fraud and they could be responsible for charges under US and Canadian Law, including the Federal Trade Commission and the Attorney General. Do not do business with them.
