Last year "Ameritrust Financial" mislead me to believe that the credit card they offered me was going to help rebuild my credit, I would be able to shop at any store I chose, and receive cash advances, all for a deposit of $200.00. Stupidly, I gave them my account numbers, but I only had $100.00 available in my account that day. They took the $100.00 and was scheduled to take another $100.00 that friday. I got suspicious when I tried to call them back to ask a question, I received their voicemail, when the Ameritrust name was mentioned, a loud noise (like a fax machine) drowned out only that portion of the voicemail (Ameritrust). I called the next day and asked for a refund, they told me I had to write their chairperson (I believe that was the title) in order to obtain a refund. I wrote the letter and never heard anything else. I started to give up and take it as a loss but PEOPLE LIKE THIS SHOULD NOT GET AWAY WITH RIPPING OFF HARDWORKING CONSUMERS LIKE MYSELF OR ANYONE ELSE!!! The attorney general in Florida, as of 10/15 has filed a lawsuit against Enterprise Technology Group aka Ameritrust Financial, Dunedin Fl. My instincts were right, I wish it had kicked in a little sooner (before giving my acct info).
