I hate to admit it but I am one of those naive people who used to run a homebased buisness. I was contacted by a gentleman named Scott who assurred me that I could greatly increase my profits by utilizing a credit card processing service. He was going above and beyond for me because I was small and independent (so he said). He made it out to be a huge favor he was doing for me. Consequently I ended up with MBF Leasing. I was informed the machine was one cost with a small processing fee each month. Well the fee turns out to be $78 and some change and then an annual fee here and there.
When I could not continue in the buisness I tried to contact the Leasing Company. I swear it sounds like a group of people working out of a small room. Everytime I called them (and it was many) I got the same customer service rep. That in and of itself seemed sketchy if they are supposed to be this huge company. The rep was never pleasant and most often rude as heck. I tried to come to an agreement with her (because there is never a supervisor on duty you can talk to). I told them I would priortiy mail the machine back to them and tried to work out a deal with the lease. This hasn't happened.in fact I just received another call from them.
I closed the account they were pulling from so they called wanting their payment. I have been making payments on this machine for over a year now and not using it. When I told her I didn't plan on making a payment right now, without waiting for me to continue she hung up on me. Isn't that professional. I was planning to try to renegotiate but after reading everything I have about them I am just not sure I will. I want to wait and see what they will do at this point. I have read that they will file suit but not pursue it fully. I will be mailing the machine back to them today certified so they cannot say they never received it. I wil wait and see how they respond.
It really is a shame that they target small buisnessed. I have began another small buisness that is more suited to me but I can guarentee I will certainly not be utilizing their services. I will contact my bank for advice on processing if it comes to that point.
