My son was contacted by phone by Linda Douglas. A loan for $5000 was waiting for him as long as he had a co-signer or he would pay an up-front premium of $900. The scary thing was she already had his phone number address and his social security number!
She also knew he had just been turned down for a loan. My son thought if they had all of that info, they must be real. He had them e-mail me the loan docs so I could look over them before doing anything. As I expected, it was very fishy...
First of all, they could not even spell correctly in the contract! I also figured out that the loan payments were not calculated correctly. What kind of Financial company does that?
I had a bad feeling, so I got on the internet and started researching. I contacted the Chamber of Commerce in Troy Michigan and they never heard of them. I also used the Yellow pages for Michigan and they were not listed. The funny thing was BBB had nothing negative on them!
Then I found usacomplaints.com. They saved my son $900.00 that he was going to have to borrow from his boss to get the loan!
