Stephen smith fraud mortgage broker need help

Has anyone ever used a mortgage company who had them to fill out the paperwork falsely in order to obtain a loan? This happened to someone I know. I am trying to prove the point that banks and mortgage brokers can be dishonest. Please respond ASAP! All help would be appreciated. Thank you.
