United Cash Loans and I went around with each other more then once since March. First I had been going through a series of jobs when I took out their payday loan. I tried to explain to them that another had taken out money from my account that wasn't supposed to have been taken out yet and left me a negative balance and that I would send them their money through mail.
They told me they couldn't do anything about that that I had already authorized them to do so, so the money from them was taken out of a negative account balance, leaving me in more of a minus balance with my bank.
I was struggling, I had paid off one debt, and still had the bank to pay and others as well including United Cash loans, but worked something out after they already took the money out of my account to send them money by mail. At first I sent them exactly what they wanted for their first payment by money order, but they continued to call and harrass for more money, the second ones were sent at 60 dollars a piece through mail no more then a week apart, which equalled to their second payment they wanted, but that wasn't good enough for them, and that's when they decided to call and harrass me over the phone even more.
I believe it was a rip off because I first told them not to take the money out of a negative account that I was trying to get caught up. What did it for me was the point that I was sending payments in, no matter if the payments weren't exactly the amount they wanted each time. The debt was getting paid off, and one of their customer representatives called me and completely had me in tears over the phone.
A relative of mine took the phone away when she overheard the conversation from another room. He was rude, he degraded me for not sending the full balance that they wanted, and he harrassed her as well by punching numbers in over the phone while she was telling him to stop calling.
So he not only harrassed me, but harrassed another as well. Then months later after I hadn't received anything by mail from them because I told them I wasn't going to be bothered by phone due to their harrassment they decide to leave me a voicemail stating that if I didn't pay the 110 dollars that the DA which I'm assuming means District Attorney would be contacting me, so in order to avoid court. I agreed for them to take the remaining balance out next week off my new checking account.
If I had no intentions of paying this off I would've just let it go, but I didn't.
I'm the one who's worked things out all along with them and put up with harrassment to me and another family member as well. A person should not be harrassed for sending in money to a creditor or business even if it's not the money the others asked for at least it's some money towards paying a debt off, and actually United Cash Loans shouldn't be getting anymore money from me for the stress they put me through with their phone calls.
There are rules out there. I read them; one is that collection agencies, business, creditors, etc cannot harrass others by phone. I think United Cash Loans broke this rule and something should be done about it.
