Complaint record: Trustpilot, BBB and posts on this site
No published complaint reports are currently linked to this profile.
Trustpilot. The page for sayweee.com is a claimed profile (June 2023) and shows 2.2 out of 5 from 165 reviews, 38 of them in the last 12 months. The star breakdown shown is 61 percent one-star and 23 percent five-star. Trustpilot shows "No recent history of asking for reviews", warns that reviews may not be representative, and notes that the company has not replied to negative reviews. Its automated summary of recent reviews, which changes as new reviews arrive, says most reviewers were unhappy, mainly about spoiled perishables, melted ice, missing items, unexpected price changes, delayed shipments and unexpected shipping charges; some praised fast delivery, fresh produce, prices and the Asian food selection. Recent reviewers also describe an order from a third-party seller that never shipped, a price and quantity that changed after payment, and missing groceries with no refund after days of exchanges with support, while another says missed items were always refunded quickly. These are reviewers' accounts, not findings.
BBB. BBB keeps three separate files, none BBB Accredited, so their numbers are not added together here.

Submit a ComplaintWeee! missing items, refunds and support: where to go and what to send
Missing or unavailable item. The Terms of Service (last updated September 8, 2026) say that if an item is unavailable, "we will deliver the rest of your order and issue you a refund for the unavailable items," with a system notification and the item marked "Out of Stock" on the invoice. "If something is missing from your order, and is not marked as 'Out of Stock', please submit a refund request via the 'My Orders-Shipped-Return/Refund' section on the mobile applications or the websites, or contact our Customer Service."
Refund deadlines. The Terms say "Unless otherwise noted below, all refund requests must be submitted within forty-eight (48) hours from the date of delivery," and that Weee! may require "photographs, descriptions, proof of purchase, and other information." Category deadlines stated there, all counted from delivery: restaurant delivery orders, 24 hours; perishable products (fresh food), 2 days; temperature-controlled products (frozen and refrigerated), 2 days; shelf-stable food, 7 days; medicine and herbal treatments, 30 days; electronics, cooking utensils and other non-food products, 30 days for return; alcohol, 3 days (only if the product or its original casing is damaged). Food, medicine and alcohol cannot be returned but may be eligible for a refund. For food concerns the Terms ask you to "document your concerns with pictures and a description" and write to [email protected]. Refunds "may be issued to the original payment method, in the form of WeeeCash, or by another method we determine, subject to applicable law," and eligibility is "determined by Weee! in its discretion." If you missed a deadline, you can still send the order number, photos and a short written description of the problem to [email protected] and ask for a refund in writing; the decision is then up to Weee!.
Contact. The main support number on the contact page is (888) 889-7098, and the support email is [email protected]. The help center gives business hours of 6 am to 12 am Pacific time for that number and has Request customer service and Contact seller options; Contact seller is the route to try for an order from a Marketplace seller. The "New Customer FAQ" help article also lists an alternate line, (510) 358-8960, and chat through the Weee! Facebook page (facebook.com/sayweee). For questions about a specific order the FAQ points to the My Account features in the app as the fastest route; returns and refunds are requested under My Orders.
Unsafe food or illness. If food made you sick, get medical care first and keep the package. Report a problem with meat or poultry to the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline, 1-888-674-6854, and a problem with other foods to the FDA's food information center, 1-888-723-3366, or its Safety Reporting Portal. Tell Weee! as well, with photos, within the refund deadline on this page.
Cancelling an order. The Terms say orders can be modified or cancelled in the My Account section before they start processing, and that a cancellation fee applies for cancellations after processing begins, equal to "the total amount of the restaurant food and any other items that cannot be resold due to the late cancellation."
More detailShow less
The New Customer FAQ says to open the order under My Order to modify or cancel it, and that an order preparing for shipment can no longer be changed or cancelled. The same FAQ says Weee! does not charge a subscription fee, and the Rewards page says accounts are enrolled in that program automatically.
Deleting your account. The Privacy Policy says you can request deletion of your account through User Settings or at [email protected], subject to certain limitations, and that Weee! may keep some information afterward, for example for legal, tax or recall purposes.
More detailShow less
For residents of California, Maryland, Nebraska, New Jersey and Texas it gives a separate route for personal-information requests, including deletion where state law provides that right: the privacy request form linked in the policy, [email protected] or (888) 889-7098.
WeeeCash and WeeePoints. Per the Terms, WeeeCash is the balance bought with money and the balance for refunds of money purchases; it is refundable and does not expire. WeeePoints are bonus, rebate and incentive credits that are not refundable; WeeePoints issued on or after September 8, 2026 expire 90 days after issuance, and earlier WeeePoints expire six months after that date (March 8, 2027). Points given as a bonus with a WeeeCash purchase do not expire. If you ask for a refund of your Weee! balance, only WeeeCash is paid back.
If the company does not resolve it. Keep the order number, photos and messages. Start with Customer Service through the Help Center, which the Terms' notice to California consumers names for concerns and complaints. If that does not settle it:
- Card dispute. For a credit card charge for goods not delivered as ordered, write to the card issuer's billing-inquiry address so the letter arrives within 60 days after the first statement showing the charge (Fair Credit Billing Act, as explained by the FTC). Debit card and app-wallet disputes follow the issuer's own rules, so contact the issuer quickly.
- State attorney general. California customers can use the California Attorney General's consumer complaint form (oag.ca.gov); customers in other states can file with their own state attorney general's consumer protection office.
- California consumer office. The Terms give the contact for the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Information Center: 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, (800) 952-5210.
- FTC and BBB. Reports of unfair business practices can go to the Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov; a complaint can also be filed with the BBB, which forwards it to the business.
- Claims for money. The Terms require individual arbitration or small claims court after a written Notice; the next paragraph has the steps.
Arbitration and small claims. Section 18 of the Terms requires binding individual arbitration (American Arbitration Association) or small claims court for U.S. users and bars class actions. Before either one, a written Notice must go to "Legal Department, Weee! Inc., 47467 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94538," giving your name, residence address, email address and phone number, a description of the claim and the specific relief you want. The parties then have 60 days after a complete Notice to try to resolve it informally, and any statute of limitations is tolled during that period. A form Notice is available at adr.org. Weee! reimburses the arbitration filing fee unless the claim is for more than $10,000. Small claims court is in the county of your billing address.
The Terms give "the right to opt out of binding arbitration within 30 days of the date you first accepted the terms of this Section 18 by sending an email to [email protected]."
More detailShow less
The email must include your full name and address and clearly state that you intend to opt out. An opt-out sends disputes to the state or federal courts sitting in Alameda County, California, and the Terms are governed by Delaware law. A lawyer can advise on how these terms apply to you.
Weee! lawsuits, class actions and the D.C. settlement
D.C. Attorney General settlement. On September 1, 2026, the District of Columbia Attorney General announced a $95,000 settlement with Weee! Inc., Weee! Logistics LLC and Weee! OD Foods, LLC. The District alleged that Weee! misclassified at least 95 delivery drivers as independent contractors, which it said cost them split-shift pay, paid sick leave, overtime eligibility and workers' compensation coverage. Weee! denied the allegations and maintains that it complied with D.C. wage-and-hour laws, and the agreement says it is not an admission of wrongdoing. The Attorney General's release says Weee! cooperated with the investigation. Weee! agreed to pay $47,500 to eligible drivers and $47,500 to the District, and to treat active and new D.C. delivery drivers as W-2 employees, while it may still use outside delivery providers whose drivers are W-2 employees. Drivers who worked in D.C. as contractors from July 31, 2023 to July 31, 2026 get a notice and claim form by mail and have 60 days to return it.
Data breach class actions. In February 2023 Weee! said criminals had stolen customer names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, order numbers and delivery comments for orders placed between July 12, 2021 and July 12, 2022, and that payment data was not affected because it does not keep it. TechCrunch reported that Troy Hunt of Have I Been Pwned obtained a copy of 1.1 million customer email addresses, so affected people can check an address on that site, and that a seller on a cybercrime forum claimed to offer data on 11.3 million orders and 1.1 million customer accounts. Two proposed class actions over the breach were dismissed in federal court in New York without a ruling on the merits. Liau v. Weee! Inc. was dismissed in February 2024 without leave to amend; Law360 reported that the judge found the plaintiffs had failed to show a risk of injury. Jia v. Weee! Inc., filed in May 2023 in federal court in Northern California (4:23-cv-02314-DMR) and transferred to New York in January 2024, was dismissed in February 2025 on jurisdictional grounds, and Bloomberg Law reported that the plaintiffs were given leave to file a revised complaint.
More on the lawsuitsShow less
Delivery drivers' class action. In March 2023 two delivery drivers sued Weee! Logistics, Inc. and Weee! Inc. in Alameda County Superior Court (Song v. Weee! Logistics, Inc., 23CV029846), alleging tip deductions, unpaid overtime, missed meal breaks, misclassification and retaliation under California labor law. These are allegations.
Proposition 65. The California Attorney General's notice database lists at least nine 60-day notices from Consumer Advocacy Group, Inc. that name Weee!, dated from October 2021 to August 2023. They allege missing warnings over lead, cadmium or arsenic in seaweed, dried shrimp, dried fish, spicy squid, shrimp crackers and dried mushrooms. The group sued in Alameda County Superior Court on September 14, 2023 (Consumer Advocacy Group, Inc. v. WEEE! Inc., docket 23CV043992), with a supplemental complaint on October 27, 2023, against WEEE! Inc. and four other companies (Kam Lee Yuen Trading Co., Inc., United Kanboo USA, Corp., Seoul Shik Poom, Inc. and Foodnet Supermarket, Inc.), claiming failure to warn and toxic tort and seeking a warning, a civil penalty and an injunction. The supplemental complaint covers 15 notices, six of which name other companies and not Weee!.
In that docket Kam Lee Yuen agreed to a consent judgment, dated May 9, 2024 in the database, with $300,000 in payments: $68,580 in civil penalties, $51,420 in lieu of further penalties and $180,000 in fees and costs. Weee! is not a party to it, though it releases retailers and marketplace hosts for Kam Lee Yuen's covered products. A 2025 consent judgment with Seoul Trading in a separate Los Angeles case (22STCV03672) lists Weee! Inc. among the downstream companies released for that defendant's products. The entries for these notices show no settlement or judgment with Weee! itself as the settling party. The notices and complaints are the plaintiff's allegations, and they concern whether a warning was given, not a finding about a specific product a consumer bought.

Proposition 65 failure-to-warn and toxic-tort claims against WEEE! Inc. and four other defendants, seeking a warning, civil penalty and injunction, with a supplemental complaint filed October 27, 2023. It covers 15 notices, nine of which name Weee!, over lead, cadmium or arsenic in seaweed, dried seafood, shrimp crackers and dried mushrooms. Co-defendant Kam Lee Yuen Trading Co., Inc. agreed to a $300,000 consent judgment, dated May 9, 2024 in the Attorney General's database; Weee! is not a party to it, though it releases retailers and marketplace hosts for Kam Lee Yuen's covered products. The database entries show no settlement or judgment with Weee! itself as the settling party.
Song v. Weee! Logistics, Inc.
FiledThese are the plaintiffs' allegations, not findings.
Case details: Song v. Weee! Logistics, Inc.Show less
Proposed class action and Private Attorneys General Act claims by delivery drivers Yi "Sunny" Song and Xiangyang "James" Ji against Weee! Logistics, Inc. and Weee! Inc. The complaint alleges unlawful tip deductions, unpaid overtime, missed meal breaks, misclassification as independent contractors, inaccurate wage statements, late final pay, inadequate safety equipment for handling dry ice, and retaliation. The class covers California delivery drivers from March 4, 2018. A Weee! spokesperson declined to comment, Grocery Dive reported.
Liau v. Weee! Inc.
DismissedProposed class action by former customers over the February 2023 data breach. Judge Paul A. Engelmayer granted Weee!'s motion to dismiss for lack of standing. Law360 reported that the dismissal was without leave to amend and that the judge said the plaintiffs failed to show a risk of injury, because the leak involved low-risk data and not information such as payment records or passwords. The court did not rule on whether Weee!'s data security was adequate.
Jia v. Weee! Inc.
DismissedThe allegations were not decided on their merits.
Case details: Jia v. Weee! Inc.Show less
Proposed class action by Helen Jia and three other plaintiffs alleging Weee! negligently failed to protect personal information exposed in the February 2023 data breach. Jia filed in May 2023 in federal court in Northern California (4:23-cv-02314-DMR), and that court transferred the case to New York in January 2024 under the first-to-file rule, after the earlier Liau suit. Bloomberg Law reported that Judge Paul A. Engelmayer dismissed the suit on jurisdictional grounds, finding the state-law claims did not support federal jurisdiction, and gave the plaintiffs leave to file a revised complaint on that issue.
Who runs Weee!, its Marketplace, delivery fees, Rewards and recalls
Who runs it. Larry Liu founded Weee! in 2015 and is its CEO. The Terms of Service name the operator as Weee! Inc. and say it runs websites and apps serving multiple U.S. cities, including sayweee.com, weee.com and masgusto.com. Its home page uses the tagline "America's largest online Asian supermarket". The footer of its careers page lists "Delivery nationwide" and metro areas including the SF Bay Area, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, New York, Chicago, New Jersey and Atlanta. The mailing and legal-notice address it publishes is 47467 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94538. Weee! Logistics LLC and Weee! OD Foods, LLC signed the 2026 D.C. settlement alongside Weee! Inc.
Funding. TechCrunch reported in February 2022 that Weee! had raised a $425 million Series E round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, valuing the company at $4.1 billion at the time. MicroVentures, a broker for private shares, lists SoftBank Investment Advisers, Goodwater Capital, Tiger Global Management, Blackstone and DST Global among its notable investors.
More company historyShow less
Marketplace. The Terms say the Weee! Marketplace "displays products offered by certain vendors" and that Weee! "does not have direct control over the supply, availability, quality, descriptions, pricing, labeling, packaging, or regulatory status of products offered by Sellers"; for Marketplace items Weee! "may cancel, modify, substitute, or refund affected items in its discretion." The shipping-fee page says third-party sellers set their own shipping fees.
Delivery fees. For local grocery delivery the company's shipping-fee page states free delivery over $49 for Bronze and Silver Rewards tiers and over $35 for Gold, with no service fee over $79 for Bronze and Silver and none for Gold. Mail-order dry goods ship free at $49 or more (otherwise $5.99). Mail-order frozen orders pay $9.99 shipping under $89 and ship free at $89 or more, but a $9.99 cold-chain packaging charge applies either way. The page says regional offers differ, so confirm the threshold and charges at checkout.
Rewards program. The Rewards page says every account is enrolled automatically and starts at Bronze. Spending at least $150 in 90 days reaches Silver, and $350 or more in 90 days reaches Gold, which adds a lower free-delivery threshold, no local service fee and more points back. The Terms say the program has its own terms and that Weee! may "modify, suspend, or terminate" it, including benefits and expiration rules, at any time subject to applicable law.
Recalls. The company's recalls page says that for a recalled item it will "Block the affected item from being sold" and "Remove it from our website and distribution systems," and lists manufacturer and regulator announcements, for example one dated July 15, 2026 for Khong Guan glutinous rice balls with black sesame filling (undeclared peanuts). It says the linked announcements include next steps for buyers and suggests contacting the product's manufacturer; it does not say how Weee! itself notifies or refunds customers who already bought the item.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I do if an item is missing from my Weee! order?
The Terms of Service say that if an item is unavailable, Weee! delivers the rest and refunds the unavailable items, marked "Out of Stock" on the invoice. For an item that is missing and not marked that way, they say to submit a refund request in "My Orders-Shipped-Return/Refund" in the app or website, or contact Customer Service.
How long do I have to ask for a Weee! refund?
The Terms say refund requests are due within 48 hours of delivery unless otherwise noted. Stated exceptions: restaurant orders 24 hours; fresh and temperature-controlled food 2 days; shelf-stable food 7 days; medicine and herbal products 30 days; alcohol 3 days, only if the product or its casing is damaged; electronics, utensils and other non-food products can be returned within 30 days. All deadlines run from delivery, and Weee! decides eligibility. It may ask for photos and other information. If a deadline has passed, you can still write to [email protected] with the order number and photos; the decision is Weee!'s.
How do I get the refund paid?
The Terms say refunds "may be issued to the original payment method, in the form of WeeeCash, or by another method we determine, subject to applicable law." If you later ask for your Weee! balance back, only WeeeCash is refunded; WeeePoints are not.
How do I contact Weee! customer support?
For an order problem, start in the app or website: My Orders for a refund or return, and the help center for Request customer service or Contact seller. To reach a person, call (888) 889-7098 or email [email protected] with your order number and photos. The New Customer FAQ also offers chat through the company's Facebook page (facebook.com/sayweee).
Can I cancel a Weee! order?
The Terms say orders can be cancelled in My Account before processing starts. After processing begins a cancellation fee applies, equal to the total of restaurant food and other items that cannot be resold. The New Customer FAQ says an order preparing for shipment can no longer be cancelled.
What does Weee! delivery cost?
The company's shipping-fee page states: local grocery delivery is free over $49 for Bronze and Silver Rewards tiers and over $35 for Gold; mail-order dry goods ship free at $49 or more (otherwise $5.99); mail-order frozen orders ship free at $89 or more (otherwise $9.99) and always carry a $9.99 cold-chain packaging charge. Marketplace sellers set their own shipping fees. Regional offers differ, so confirm the charges at checkout.
Can I sue Weee! in court or join a class action?
Section 18 of the Terms requires binding individual arbitration or small claims court for U.S. users and bars class actions, after a written Notice and a 60-day informal period. It gives 30 days from the date you first accepted that section to opt out, by emailing [email protected] with your full name and address and a clear statement that you intend to opt out. Small claims court in the county of your billing address is the other route. Consult a lawyer for advice on your own situation.
What happens if a product sold on Weee! is recalled?
The company's recalls page says it will block the affected item from being sold and remove it from its website and distribution systems, and links to manufacturer and regulator announcements, which give next steps for buyers; it suggests contacting the manufacturer. It does not say how Weee! notifies or refunds customers who already bought the item, so follow the recall notice and ask Weee! support about a refund.
Has Weee! been named in a Proposition 65 notice?
The California Attorney General's database lists at least nine 60-day notices from Consumer Advocacy Group, Inc. naming Weee!, dated from October 2021 to August 2023, over lead, cadmium or arsenic in seaweed, dried seafood, shrimp crackers and dried mushrooms. The group sued in Alameda County Superior Court in September 2023 (docket 23CV043992). They are allegations. Co-defendant Kam Lee Yuen Trading Co., Inc. agreed to a $300,000 consent judgment in 2024, and the entries show no settlement or judgment with Weee! itself as the settling party.

Inc., were dismissed in federal court in New York without a ruling on the merits; the Jia plaintiffs were given leave to file a revised complaint. Two delivery drivers filed a proposed wage class action in Alameda County in 2023 (Song v. Weee! Logistics, Inc., 23CV029846), and a consumer group filed a Proposition 65 suit there the same year (23CV043992). In 2026 Weee! agreed to pay $95,000 under a settlement with the D.C. Attorney General over driver classification, denying the allegations; the Attorney General said it cooperated.
