Weed Man: who to contact, the guarantee, billing and where to complain (checked October 22, 2026)
Weed Man's own site says: 'All of our franchises are locally owned and operated.' The U.S. site's Contact page does not list a customer-service phone number; it points visitors to a locator ('Use our locator to find your local Weed Man’s phone number, address, and contact details'). The contract, invoices and any scheduling or billing question therefore usually involve the local franchise named on your paperwork.
- Find your local office: weedman.com/en-us/find-a-franchise.
- Change or review your plan: the home-page FAQ says you can 'Contact Weed Man directly' or 'Log in to our online customer portal and make the changes to your package online' (customer.weedman.com).
- Service guarantee, as the company words it: 'We stand behind our services, and we’ll happily visit your property in between scheduled visits, as needed and free of charge, to address any concerns and find suitable solutions for you.' (Weed Man Guarantee post, October 30, 2025.) Ask your local office how to request a re-visit and keep the date of your request.
- Cancelling or stopping auto-renewal: the Terms of Use, Privacy Notice, Support Center FAQ and Contact page opened on October 22, 2026 did not set out cancellation, renewal or refund terms for lawn-care services in the places checked. Those terms would be in your own service agreement or invoice; read it and write to the local office, keeping a copy. One writer in our archive (post 590091) says a manager told them services renewed through an automatic process; that is a single unverified account.
- Privacy requests: the Privacy Notice (April 2, 2025) gives [email protected].
- If you suspect pesticide misuse or have an exposure: EPA's page says 'If you are concerned about a possible illegal use of a pesticide, please contact your state pesticide regulatory agency' and notes that most states have primary enforcement responsibility. For an exposure needing care, EPA says to go to the nearest emergency room first. EPA also lists the National Pesticide Information Center (NPIC) at 1-800-858-7378 for questions about reporting pesticide exposure or illness.
- Other routes: your state attorney general's consumer-protection office and the FTC's ReportFraud site accept consumer complaints about business practices.
What the record shows: our archive, Trustpilot and BBB (as displayed October 22, 2026)
Our archive. usacomplaints.com has 3 published posts linked to this page, dated 2009 to 2012, about local Weed Man offices in West Chester, Pennsylvania; Novi, Michigan; and Salisbury, North Carolina. One describes a price dispute after a sales call, one describes fertilization that the writer says was billed without approval, and one describes a door-to-door solicitation and trespass dispute. They are individual accounts we have not verified, concern different local offices and years, and do not describe the experience of customers as a whole. Complaints in our archive about Weed Man in Canada are not linked to this U.S. page.
Trustpilot. The page for weedmanusa.com showed 13 reviews and a 1.9 score on October 22, 2026, an unclaimed profile, and the notice that the company 'hasn't invited their customers' so reviews 'may not be representative'. The separate page for weedman.com showed 1 review (3.2). Trustpilot says it does not fact-check reviews. The two pages are not combined.
BBB. A BBB name search for 'Weed Man' on October 22, 2026 returned 179 results, each a separate local listing with its own address and rating; the first results showed A+ and A on different listings. A search for 'Turf Holdings' returned no listing for this company. We do not combine listings or give one BBB rating.
These sources are not summed or averaged.
Court cases naming Turf Holdings, Inc.
A CourtListener search on October 22, 2026 for the party name 'Turf Holdings' returned dockets including the two federal cases below, both filed by individuals and both ended in 2021 by dismissal. The dockets list the statutory cause as 47:227 (Restrictions on Use of Telephone Equipment); we have not read the complaints, so we do not describe the claims further. The dockets do not state settlement terms.
State pesticide-board matter. The N.C. Department of Agriculture announced on March 31, 2023 that a licensed applicator with the Weed Man franchise in Raleigh agreed to pay $400 for damaging grass in a neighbouring yard during an application; the release does not name Turf Holdings. No other state or federal enforcement action naming Weed Man or Turf Holdings was identified in the sources checked on October 22, 2026 (a web search, the N.C. release and a BBB name search); that is a limit of those checks, not a finding about the company.
Website Terms. The Terms of Use (section 20) say they are governed by Delaware law, that court proceedings take place in Wilmington, Delaware, and that claims brought with respect to the Site or Content must be commenced within one year; these terms are written for the website and are not necessarily the terms of a lawn-service agreement with a local office.
Court & Public Records
Gossen v. Turf Holdings, Inc.
DismissedCourtListener lists the cause as 47:0227 Restrictions on Use of Telephone Equipment. Docket entries include a Notice of Settlement by the plaintiff (March 12, 2021), a Stipulation of Dismissal (March 30, 2021) and a March 31, 2021 entry stating that, under Fed. R. Civ. P. 41(a)(1), the case is closed without further order of the court. The docket shows no settlement terms. We have not read the complaint.
Rios v. Turf Holdings
DismissedCourtListener lists the cause as 47:227 Restrictions of Use of Telephone Equipment and names Turf Holdings and WM Utah County as defendants. A docket entry dated March 26, 2021 reads 'Civil Case Terminated per Notice of Dismissal'. The docket shows no settlement terms. We have not read the complaint.
Who is behind Weed Man: Turf Holdings Inc. and a franchise network
The U.S. site's Terms of Use (effective November 27, 2025) say Turf Holdings Inc. 'makes this website ... available to you', and the Privacy Notice is issued by Turf Holdings Inc. 'and its affiliates and subsidiaries'; it lists a mailing address in Orono, Ontario. A 2019 post on the franchise-recruitment site weedmanfranchise.com uses the name 'Weed Man USA/Turf Holdings Inc.' and says it created TH Canada Inc. and acquired the rights to Weed Man Canada, with the agreement 'finalized at the end of November 2018'. The pages we opened do not say where Turf Holdings is incorporated.
The company says it has served lawns 'since 1970', operates 'in nearly 1,000 territories across North America', and describes itself as North America's fastest-growing franchised lawn care company; its home page cites 'more than 270 locations' and 'Hundreds' of franchises, and says 'Each Weed Man franchise is run by members of your community'. These are the company's own descriptions and its figures are not identical across pages.
New investor. Gridiron Capital announced on October 5, 2026 an investment in Weed Man, which its release calls 'North America's largest lawn care franchisor' and, in its boilerplate, says Weed Man “serves more than 800,000 households through a network of corporate- and franchise-owned branches” in approximately 1,000 exclusive territories in 39 U.S. states and 10 Canadian provinces. The release says 'Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed' and that Jennifer Lemcke and the existing management team will continue to lead. It does not mention Turf Holdings, so we do not state how the deal affects the entity named in the Terms.
The same release describes Weed Man as “Founded in 1970 and headquartered in Ontario, Canada”, which is consistent with the Orono, Ontario mailing address in the Privacy Notice.
Because most service is delivered through separately operated local franchises, a complaint or review about one office does not necessarily describe another.
