United Medicare Advisors: how to reach the company, stop contact, and complain (checked October 18, 2026)
United Medicare Advisors ("UMA") is a Medicare Supplement (Medigap) insurance brokerage. Its Terms page says the site is "owned and operated by Spring Insurance Solutions, LLC dba United Medicare Advisors, LLC", and its privacy policy says the website "is owned and operated by Spring Insurance Solutions LLC". The site-wide footer disclaimer, shown on the Terms page, says Medicare Supplement plans are "not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program." This section lists the channels the company and the public agencies publish, as opened on October 18, 2026.
Company contact channels.
- The company's contact page gives 1 (855) 665-9200 both for "Shopping for a new Medicare Plan?" and for "Already enrolled in a plan with United Medicare Advisors?", with hours "Mon.- Fri., 7:30 am- 5:30 pm CT".
- The same page lists a "Customer Portal" sign-in (myunitedmedicareadvisors.com) and an online contact form with the stated response time "One business day".
- Mail: 120 W. 12th St., Suite 1700, Kansas City, Missouri 64105 (privacy policy and contact page).
Stopping calls, texts and emails, or deleting data. The rate-quote form on the home page carries this consent text: "I understand my consent is not a condition of purchase. I can revoke my consent at any time." It covers calls "using an automated system" from "United Medicare Advisors, its parent company Spring Venture Group, and the carriers it represents". The Terms page, in its "Consent to Contact" section, says instead: "I can revoke this consent through any reasonable means" and, for email, extends consent to "each Insurer you have been matched with". Revoking with UMA may therefore not reach a carrier; ask each carrier that contacts you to stop. The privacy policy ("LAST UPDATED: 10/23/2025") says you may opt out by emailing Customer Support, by phone at 1 (855) 665-9200 or by mail at the Kansas City address, that email carries an unsubscribe link, and that you may "correct, update, delete or deactivate" your information by emailing Customer Support. It points to donotcall.gov for information about do-not-call lists. Keep a record of the date and the person you spoke to when you make a request.
Medigap rules worth knowing before or after you enroll (Medicare.gov). Medicare.gov says of a new Medigap policy: "you have 30 days to decide if you want to keep it (called a 30-day free look period)." It also describes a "6-month Medigap open enrollment period", during which the right to buy a policy is protected. Medicare.gov also says: "Don’t cancel your first Medigap policy until you’ve decided to keep your second Medigap policy. You’ll need to pay both premiums for the month that you have both." and "If you want to drop your Medigap policy, contact your insurance company to cancel it." (that is, cancellation goes through the insurer). Check the live Medicare.gov page for your own dates and state rules before cancelling any existing coverage.
Arbitration and class-action waiver. The Terms page says: "By accepting these Terms, you are agreeing to the arbitration agreement and class action waiver contained in Section 4". Section 4 provides that claims may be brought "only on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative action or proceeding, including but not limited to actions under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act", and that disputes go to arbitration "except that you may assert claims in small claims court, if your claims qualify." Read Section 4 in full before relying on any particular route.
Where to take a complaint about a sale or an agent.
- State insurance department. The company is based in Missouri. The Missouri Department of Commerce & Insurance, Division of Consumer Affairs, says it "investigates consumer complaints against insurance companies and producers"; its Insurance Consumer Hotline is 800-726-7390 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays) and complaints can be filed online. If you live in another state, use your own state insurance department.
- 1-800-MEDICARE. Medicare.gov lists 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) for talking to "a real person, 24 hours a day, 7 days week"; TTY users can call 1-877-486-2048.
- State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). Medicare.gov says: "Visit shiphelp.org to get the phone number for your local SHIP" and that "SHIPs aren't connected to any insurance company or health plan."
How the company is paid. The company's pages say "You pay the exact same premium whether you go it alone or use our expertise" and that its help comes "at no cost to you." The company's FAQ says: "Advisors receive a flat commission from insurance carriers regardless of which plan you choose." This is the company's own statement; ask the agent directly, and ask for the carrier's own plan documents, before you apply.
Who is behind United Medicare Advisors
Who operates it. The Terms page says the site is "owned and operated by Spring Insurance Solutions, LLC dba United Medicare Advisors, LLC"; its footer disclaimer says "Spring Insurance Solutions dba United Medicare Advisors and www.unitedmedicareadvisors.com are wholly owned and operated by Spring Venture Group, LLC." Spring Venture Group ("SVG"), headquartered at the same Kansas City address, says on its About page that it "is the parent company of three brands": SmartMatch, United Medicare Advisors (described as focusing "on Medicare Supplement Insurance") and SmartConnect. SVG lists Chris Giuliani as Chief Executive Officer; the BBB profile for United Medicare Advisors also lists Chris Giuliani as CEO. The SVG About page states a headcount "from 27 employees in 2012 to over 1000 in 2018" (the company's own statement).
What it sells. The company's About page says it is "an independent brokerage" and that agents "compare 20-plus carriers"; carrier logos shown include Aetna, Cigna Healthcare, Aflac and Mutual of Omaha. The licence list in the site footer (shown on the Terms page) names the states and the District of Columbia where "United Medicare Advisors and its divisions are licensed to sell insurance products": 44 states plus DC, without Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. The About page says "150-plus licensed insurance agents across all 50 states"; the two company statements are not reconciled here. License or National Producer Number (NPN) numbers are not published on the pages opened; a state license lookup was not completed for this profile.
Company claims, as displayed on October 18, 2026 (not independently verified). The About page says the company has been helping people "Since 2009", "900K+" Medicare Supplement policies written since 2009, and "150+" licensed agents. The home page says "Helping over 670,000 beneficiaries pick a Medicare plan in the last 5 years" and shows a third-party review widget (Trustindex) labelled "Based on 874 reviews" that credits Google as the source of the reviews; the widget's own rating label is not repeated here. BBB shows a different start date for its file (see the complaint record section).
Related brands. SVG's other brands are SmartMatch (a view of Medicare, Individual & Family and other plans) and SmartConnect (Medicare education and enrollment services for employees of partner organizations), per SVG's About page. Complaints and reviews about those brands are not counted on this page.

Archive record. No approved complaint posts on this site were linked to United Medicare Advisors, Spring Insurance Solutions or Spring Venture Group as of October 18, 2026 (a read-only search of the archive by company names, domain and the Kansas City address on that date). This page therefore carries no complaint themes of its own.
External profiles, as displayed on October 18, 2026. Each figure belongs to a separate site, is collected differently and is not added to or averaged with the others.
- BBB (profile "United Medicare Advisors", 120 W 12th St Ste 1700, Kansas City, MO): "BBB Accredited Business", rating A+; "37 total complaints in the last 3 years" and "12 complaints filed in the last 12 months"; customer reviews "1.57 /5 stars", "Average of 21 Customer Reviews". BBB's raw page data gives accredited since July 7, 2020, business started February 17, 2010 and incorporated September 5, 2013. BBB says customer reviews are not used in its letter grade.
- Trustpilot (unitedmedicareadvisors.com): rating 4.9 from 88,773 reviews, "11,544 reviews in the last 12 months", "Claimed profile" (September 2016) with a "Paid Trustpilot subscription", "Replied to 100% of negative reviews". Trustpilot also states "This company invites their customers to review, whether positive or negative" and "we don't fact-check reviews".
- ConsumerAffairs: 2.8 from 188 reviews, page marked "Updated Oct. 15, 2026". The page notes that ConsumerAffairs "may be paid by companies displayed".
The three sites show very different averages. Possible reasons include who is invited to review, how many reviews each site holds and how recently they were written; this page does not decide between them. Read the individual reviews and complaint texts on each site, and note the dates.
Court and regulator record
Court records found (U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri; CourtListener and Justia docket pages opened October 18, 2026). Justia pages are mirrors that state the date they were last retrieved; later PACER entries may exist.
- James v. Spring Insurance Solutions, LLC (No. 4:24-cv-00083), filed February 2, 2024 against "Spring Insurance Solutions, LLC dba United Medicare Advisors", listed as a Telephone Consumer Protection Act case (47 U.S.C. 227). The CourtListener docket shows "Date Terminated: June 14, 2024": the plaintiff filed a stipulation of dismissal on June 12, 2024, and on June 14, 2024 the court dismissed the plaintiff's claims with prejudice and the putative class claims without prejudice, each party bearing its own costs. The docket does not say whether there was a settlement, and there was no finding on the merits.
- Spring Venture Group, LLC v. Chapter Medicare, LLC et al. (No. 4:25-cv-00301), filed April 28, 2025 by Spring Venture Group as plaintiff against Chapter Medicare, LLC doing business as Chapter Advisory, LLC, Coy Gray and Memoir, Inc. doing business as Chapter. Justia lists the nature of suit as "Labor: Other"; on May 30, 2025 Spring Venture Group filed a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction. - Memoir, Inc. et al v. Spring Venture Group, LLC (No. 4:25-cv-00391), filed May 22, 2025 by Memoir, Inc. doing business as Chapter and Austen Mckeithen against Spring Venture Group, listed as an antitrust case (15 U.S.C. 1). It was transferred to the judge in the related case on June 3, 2025; a joint stipulation of dismissal with prejudice was filed July 2, 2025 and the clerk's order of dismissal followed on July 7, 2025.
The parties to the two 2025 dockets are companies and individuals (a competitor and others); the docket pages do not state the facts behind the claims beyond the labels above, and they say nothing about how customers were treated.
Regulators. Web searches run on October 18, 2026 for Spring Venture Group, Spring Insurance Solutions and United Medicare Advisors together with terms such as consent order, attorney general, FTC, FCC and insurance department did not return any regulator action naming them. Individual state insurance-department enforcement databases and the FTC and FCC enforcement pages were not searched one by one, so this is not a statement that none exists.

Nothing on this page is a finding by a regulator or a court about how customers were treated. Before you share health or financial information, check the agent's state license on your state insurance department's website, confirm the carrier and plan name on every application, and keep a copy of what you sign.
