Topline Pro

USAComplaints has 0 approved complaints about Topline Pro as of 2026-09-30. Topline Pro (toplinepro.com) is a subscription platform for home-service businesses that bundles a managed website, SEO and social posts, review requests, quotes, invoicing and payments; its Terms of Service name Dwelling Management, Inc. d/b/a Topline Pro as the operator. The pricing page lists monthly plans of $199, $249 and $299 and says "No contracts", while the Terms state that "fees paid are non-refundable"; the Help Center says a cancelled customer loses the website design but keeps the domain and cancels by calling or texting 857-365-6868 or emailing [email protected]. This page sets those terms side by side, explains how to stop texts sent on a contractor's behalf, and reports the public record: BBB shows 0 complaints under the ProPhone name, and CourtListener searches for its names on 2026-09-30 identified one case, a 2023 trademark suit the company filed and voluntarily dismissed.

Topline Pro customer or text recipient? What to check on billing, cancellation and your website

Topline Pro is sold as a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, to contractors, landscapers, cleaners and other home-service businesses. Pricing, cancellation and payment language appears on several company pages and is not expressly reconciled between them, so read all of them before you sign up, cancel or dispute a charge. Company quotes below were read on the company's own pages on 2026-09-30. The Terms of Service page has two parts, "Website Terms" and "App Terms", each numbered from 1; the App Terms define "Plans" as "the mobile phone number plans offered by Topline Pro through the Application" (a legacy of the ProPhone app), and the page does not say which sections apply to the current website and marketing plans. Its final general clause says the Terms with the Privacy Policy constitute "the entire agreement between the parties relating to the Website and Service".

Price and term. The pricing page lists Starter $199, Core $249 and Pro $299 per month on its "Monthly" tab, and monthly-equivalent prices of $159, $199 and $239 per month on its "Yearly (Save 20%)" tab; the pricing page itself does not say how a yearly plan is billed (twelve times the displayed monthly equivalents would be $1,908, $2,388 and $2,868; that is our arithmetic, not a figure on the page, so confirm the amount at checkout). Two of the company's comparison pages do: the Topline Pro vs. Rebolt page shows "Starter: $159/mo billed annually" and the Jobber vs. Housecall Pro page shows "Starter plan: $199/mo, unlimited users (from $159/mo billed annually)". The sign-up page offers a "free website draft", and App Terms Section 8 says "From time to time, we may offer a free trial of the Service, in our sole discretion." The pricing page says "No contracts. No setup cost. No surprise fees." and answers "Are there any commitments or contracts?" with "Nope! Topline Pro offers a month-to-month subscription, so you can cancel anytime." App Terms Section 8 refers to monthly or annual paid accounts, but no provision on unused months of a prepaid plan, on proration or on automatic renewal was found in the Terms text as read on 2026-09-30, so ask support in writing what happens to prepaid months before you choose yearly billing. The pricing page also lists card processing at "2.9% and $0.30 per transaction" and two optional add-ons: Sales Assistant at "$200 /month" and Google Ads at "20% ad spend + $150 minimum / month".

Fee changes, late payment and usage limits (App Terms). Section 8.2 says the company "reserves the right to modify such fees, upon reasonable notice, upon sixty (60) days’ written notice to you, and reserves the right to modify its standard price list at any time." Section 8.3 makes you responsible for "all reasonable fees and costs incurred by Topline Pro, including legal fees, in collecting any overdue amounts", and Section 8.4 says the company is "entitled to charge interest on all outstanding amounts at the lesser of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate permitted by law". Sections 4.1 to 4.3 describe a "Topline Pro Standard plan" with thresholds of "one thousand (1,000) text messages every month" and "one thousand (1,000) minutes every month", an "additional usage charge of 0.01¢ text message or the current overage rate" and "0.03¢ per minute" above them (units exactly as written in the Terms), and say an account "can be used on the web and 2 mobile devices", beyond which the company "may assess an upgrade to a team plan with per-user pricing". The current pricing page does not mention these thresholds, and the Terms do not say whether the "Standard plan" is the Starter, Core or Pro plan listed today.

Cancelling. The Help Center article "What if I want to cancel my subscription?" says: "To cancel your subscription, please reach out to Topline Pro Customer Support at 857-365-6868 (text or phone call) or email [email protected]." The Terms of Service say something different in two places: App Terms Section 15.1, "Either party may terminate this Agreement for any reason upon thirty (30) days' written notice to the other party," and App Terms Section 8.2, "Payment obligations are non-cancellable and fees paid are non-refundable." App Terms Section 8 also says that if you sign up for a monthly or annual paid account and "don’t cancel that account before the end of any provided trial period, you will be billed starting on the first day following the trial period", and App Terms Section 15.5 says termination does not affect "your payment obligation for any fees accruing hereunder or payments owing prior to the date of termination." All of these are the company's own words; this page does not decide which one controls. The pages checked do not say whether a cancellation made through the Help Center route takes effect immediately or only after the 30 days' notice in Section 15.1. If you cancel, do it in writing (email), keep the reply, and ask in the same message for the effective date of cancellation and the date of your last charge.

Your website and domain. The Help Center says: "If you cancel your subscription you will no longer have access to the website design but still own the domain. The reason for this is because we built the initial website for free and did not charge any design fees." The pricing-page FAQ answers the question "Can I use my own domain name?" by saying you "can connect your existing domain or choose a new one through us." The Terms do not mention domain ownership, and no domain-transfer procedure (registrar, registrant access, authorization code, DNS or email continuity) or list of exportable content appeared in the Terms or in the Help Center's seven collections as listed on 2026-09-30. If Topline Pro registered a new domain for you, ask support in writing, before you cancel, who the registrant is and how to move the domain, and save your photos, reviews and customer contacts yourself: App Terms Section 3.3 says it is "solely your responsibility to back up (where applicable) any of your information and data".

Refunds and results. App Terms Section 8.2 says fees paid are non-refundable. No separate refund policy or results guarantee was found in the company pages checked (pricing page, Terms, Privacy Policy, Help Center subscription collection and the site's non-blog pages). The Help Center welcome article says "Google takes its time – typically 4 to 6 months – to establish trust, and authority, and rank your business." App Terms Section 13.1 says "your only right with respect to any problems or dissatisfaction with the Services or Application is to cease use of the Services and Application" and caps liability at "the amount paid by you for the portion of the Services that gave rise to the claim." No refund-request procedure, deadline or eligibility criteria appeared in those pages. If a charge was made after you cancelled, you can ask support to reverse it in writing; whether a card dispute is available, and how it would be decided, depends on your card issuer's rules and your card agreement, not on this page. You can also file a complaint with the BBB, whose profile for this business is listed under the name ProPhone.

Got a text or call from Topline Pro and you are not a customer? Topline Pro also texts people on behalf of its customers. Section 6 of the Website Terms says the company "sends transactional and informational text messages on behalf of home service professionals ("Pros") in response to service requests you initiate through a Pro's website," that "No promotional or marketing messages are sent," and "Reply STOP to opt out at any time; reply HELP for assistance." Questions go to [email protected]. The Terms do not say whether STOP applies only to messages sent for one contractor or to messages sent on behalf of every business that uses Topline Pro, so confirm in writing that your number is removed. Because the message is sent for a specific contractor, the contractor named in the text or on the website form you used is the business to contact as well. Topline Pro's Customer Privacy Policy (last updated May 13, 2026) says it "does not cover how the professionals you are contacting collect and handle your information" and, for requests about how a professional uses your information, tells you to "contact them directly", so send any opt-out or deletion request to the contractor too. If messages continue, keep the sender's number, screenshots with dates, your STOP message and any reply. The FCC's consumer guide states: "You may opt out of any robocall or robotext at any time and in any reasonable manner, even if you previously gave consent for such calls," and says illegal calls or texts can be reported to the FCC at fcc.gov/complaints (choose the "unwanted calls" category and note if your number is being spoofed, blocked, or mislabeled). On the FCC complaints site on 2026-09-30, the Phone complaint form's "Phone Issues" list included "Unwanted Calls/Texts (including do not call and spoofing)" and then required a sub-issue, "My Own Number is Being Spoofed" or "All Other Unwanted Calls/Texts". The FTC's Do Not Call FAQ says: "If you didn’t lose money and just want to report a call, use the streamlined reporting form at DoNotCall.gov," and points to ReportFraud.ftc.gov if you lost money because of a call or have information about the company that called; it also says a registered number "can take up to 31 days for sales calls to stop". The Terms describe Topline Pro's texts as transactional and informational, and this page does not say whether the Do Not Call Registry applies to them.

Note for account holders on texts: App Terms Section 9.2, which governs Topline Pro's own users, says that by agreeing "you are also providing your express consent to communications by Topline Pro (including e-mail and text communications, both marketing and informational) respecting the products and services of Topline Pro."

Company background

Topline Pro is the trade name of Dwelling Management, Inc. The Terms of Service list "Dwelling Management, Inc. d/b/a Topline Pro" with a notice address of 169 Madison Ave #2213, New York, NY 10016, and say (Website Terms Section 3) that the owner of the website "is based in the State of Delaware". SEC EDGAR shows a Form D filed on 2022-08-05 by Dwelling Management, Inc. (CIK 0001939638), at the same address, describing a Delaware corporation whose listed executive officers and directors are Nicholas Ornitz and Shannon Kay. The federal court caption in its 2023 trademark case reads "Dwelling Management Inc. d/b/a Topline Pro", and Apple's App Store lists the seller of the Topline Pro app as Dwelling Management Inc. (the same page shows a "© 2026 Topline Pro Inc." copyright line and "ProPhone Inc" as developer name; this page has not established whether those refer to separate legal entities). Google Play lists "Dwelling Management, Inc." as the developer of the Android app (169 Madison Ave, New York, NY 10016-5101; [email protected]; +1 857-365-6868) and, as displayed on 2026-09-30, "1K+" downloads and an update date of Sep 24, 2026. BBB lists the business as "ProPhone" with the alternate name "Dwelling Management Inc." and a business start date of 2020-03-30.

The company's About page says the cofounders, Nick and Shannon, first built Dwelling Management (home-maintenance tools), then ProPhone, "a mobile-first platform that helped home service pros get discovered, manage leads, and win more jobs", and that the ProPhone name changed to Topline Pro. Under "Where we're located" the Contact page lists two addresses, Boston, Massachusetts (1 Federal St, Boston, MA 02110) and Brooklyn, New York (300 Kent Ave, Brooklyn NY 11249), and does not say which is the headquarters; the legal-notice address in the Terms and the address in the SEC filing is 169 Madison Ave #2213, New York. The Contact page's "Call Us" button links to 857-365-6868, the same number as in the Help Center cancellation article and on the Google Play listing.

What it sells. Per its pricing page and Help Center: a managed custom website with SEO blog posts and Google Business Profile posts, scheduled social posts, review-request tools, a "Prospect Feed" of local job opportunities, quoting, invoicing, scheduling and payments (card processing through Stripe, per the Privacy Policy), an AI assistant called Sidekick, add-ons for a Sales Assistant and Google Ads, and iOS and Android apps. The homepage says "6,000+ Small businesses powered by Topline Pro solutions", "$1.2B+ In booked revenue generated for our customers" and "78K Five-star reviews collected for service pros" (its counters animate when the page loads, and the page source holds the final values quoted here); these are the company's own marketing figures, this page has not verified them, and the customer stories on its site are examples the company selected.

Funding (company press releases). On July 31, 2023 the company announced $12M in Series A funding led by Forerunner Ventures. On August 14, 2025 it announced $27M in Series B funding "led by Northzone (Molly Alter), with new participation from Tactile Ventures, and Industry Ventures, alongside continued support from existing investors Forerunner Ventures, Bonfire Ventures, TMV, Flybridge, and BBG Ventures." Investor names are as stated in those releases and do not by themselves show who controls the company. Separately, the Form D filed on 2022-08-05 is titled "Notice of Exempt Offering of Securities": it is a notice filed by the company, and this page does not treat it as an SEC review or approval of the company or the offering. For the 2022 offering it reports a date of first sale of 2022-07-21, a total offering amount of $4,943,449, $4,893,449 sold and 24 investors, with the clarification "Includes conversion of outstanding SAFEs into shares of Preferred Stock." Those are historical figures for that offering as reported by the company in the filing; EDGAR lists this one filing for the company as of 2026-09-30.

Privacy documents. Three company documents cover personal information. (1) The Privacy Policy at toplinepro.com/privacy, which Website Terms Section 4 and App Terms Section 9.1 link to, shows "Date Last Edited: February 21, 2021" and says: "We share some collected information with third-party tools such as AI models. That information includes, but is not limited to, company name, industry, services, photos, and reviews." (2) The Customer Privacy Policy (last updated May 13, 2026), which the SMS section of the Website Terms links to under the words "Privacy Policy", says the company may "capture the content and metadata" of communications with a professional "including via form submission, text message, voice chat, or online chat", "may use third-party providers for SMS and calls, AI-responses and processing, and chat infrastructure providers", may use personal data to "train or fine-tune the artificial intelligence and machine learning models that power our platform and services", and says "We do not sell your personal information." (3) On retention, App Terms Section 3.1 says certain account data "is stored indefinitely", while the Customer Privacy Policy says "We retain form submissions and communications for as long as necessary to provide services, support customer requests, comply with legal obligations, and ensure security." The documents address different groups (account holders, and people who message a professional), and the pages checked do not reconcile the two retention statements.

Support and data channels. Phone or text 857-365-6868 and email [email protected] (Help Center: "we're always available by phone and text"). No status page link was found on the site pages checked. The Terms page shows "Date Last Edited: April 17, 2020" at the top, although later sections (for example the SMS section, whose "Privacy Policy" hyperlink points to a policy dated May 13, 2026) are newer, and Website Terms Section 13 refers to an "Arbitration Agreement" while no separate arbitration section appears in the text as read.

Court record: the 2023 trademark case

One court case was identified under the company's names in the CourtListener searches described below, and in it Topline Pro's operator was the plaintiff: Dwelling Management Inc. v. Mission 8, LLC, et al., No. 1:23-cv-02593 (S.D.N.Y.), a trademark case opened on March 27, 2023 against Mission 8, LLC and Topline Holdings Inc. The court's later order describes the complaint's allegations: that the plaintiff, a New York-based CRM software company, had changed its name from ProPhone to Topline Pro, and that the defendants started using the Topline Pro name to sell CRM software. On June 27–28, 2023 the plaintiff filed a notice of voluntary dismissal without prejudice, which the court granted. The defendants then moved for attorney fees and sanctions; on December 1, 2023 the magistrate judge denied both that motion and the plaintiff's request for sanctions, finding "no evidence that Plaintiff filed this action in bad faith." These were allegations in a dismissed case, not findings.

Searches of CourtListener (federal dockets and opinions) for "Topline Pro", "Dwelling Management" and "ProPhone" on 2026-09-30 identified only this docket. Those searches were not exhaustive and did not cover every court, PACER-only material or state courts; no consumer class action, TCPA suit or regulator action against Topline Pro was identified in the sources checked (web search, SEC EDGAR, CourtListener, BBB, Trustpilot, ComplaintsBoard). Federal and state agency enforcement databases were not searched exhaustively.

Is Topline Pro Legitimate?

Topline Pro operates through Dwelling Management, Inc., a Delaware corporation that appears in SEC EDGAR with a Form D filed August 5, 2022, and whose executive officers named there also appear as the company's cofounders on its About page. It announced $12M (2023) and $27M (2025) funding rounds through press releases, has a BBB profile (listed as ProPhone, not accredited, A+, 0 complaints) and a claimed Trustpilot page with 0 reviews, and CourtListener searches for its names on 2026-09-30 identified one case, a 2023 trademark suit it filed and voluntarily dismissed (the searches were not exhaustive). No regulator enforcement action or consumer lawsuit was identified in the sources checked on 2026-09-30. The company's marketing pages ("No contracts", "cancel anytime") and its Terms ("non-cancellable", "non-refundable", 30 days' written notice) word cancellation and refunds differently, and both are quoted on this page; read both before subscribing or cancelling. This page assigns Topline Pro no rating, score or label of its own.

Docket 1:23-cv-02593
U.S. District Court, S.D.N.Y.
DismissedDismissed

A trademark-infringement case brought by Topline Pro's operator against Mission 8, LLC and Topline Holdings Inc. The court's later opinion recites the complaint's allegations: that the plaintiff changed its name from ProPhone to Topline Pro and that the defendants began using the Topline Pro name to sell CRM software. After the defendants moved to dismiss, the plaintiff filed a notice of voluntary dismissal without prejudice (filed June 27, 2023; the court granted the application on June 28, 2023, each party to bear its own costs, and directed the clerk to close the case). The case ended by that voluntary dismissal, not by a ruling on the merits. On December 1, 2023, after the dismissal, the magistrate judge denied the defendants' motion for attorney fees and sanctions and the plaintiff's request for sanctions, stating "Finding no evidence that Plaintiff filed this action in bad faith." No finding on the merits of the trademark claims was made in either order.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who operates Topline Pro and where is it based?

Topline Pro's Terms of Service name "Dwelling Management, Inc. d/b/a Topline Pro", 169 Madison Ave #2213, New York, NY 10016, and say (Website Terms Section 3) that the website owner "is based in the State of Delaware". SEC EDGAR lists Dwelling Management, Inc. (CIK 0001939638) as a Delaware corporation with a Form D filed August 5, 2022, and BBB lists the business as ProPhone with the alternate name Dwelling Management Inc. The Contact page lists addresses in Boston (1 Federal St) and Brooklyn (300 Kent Ave) without saying which is the headquarters. Check that the name on your invoice or contract matches.

How much does Topline Pro cost, and is there a contract?

The pricing page lists Starter $199, Core $249 and Pro $299 per month on the Monthly tab and monthly-equivalent prices of $159, $199 and $239 per month on the "Yearly (Save 20%)" tab, and says "No contracts. No setup cost. No surprise fees." The Terms of Service say "Payment obligations are non-cancellable and fees paid are non-refundable" (App Terms Section 8.2) and allow either party to terminate on 30 days' written notice (Section 15.1). The pricing page does not state how a yearly plan is billed (the company's Topline Pro vs. Rebolt page shows "Starter: $159/mo billed annually"), and no provision on unused prepaid months was found on 2026-09-30, so ask support in writing.

How do I cancel Topline Pro?

The Help Center says: "To cancel your subscription, please reach out to Topline Pro Customer Support at 857-365-6868 (text or phone call) or email [email protected]." The Help Center's "My Subscription" collection contains only this article, and the article on upgrading a plan (Settings, then Billing, then Edit in the Subscription section) does not describe a cancel step. Because the App Terms refer to "thirty (30) days' written notice", an email gives you a written record; ask for the effective date of cancellation (the pages checked do not say whether it is immediate or follows the 30 days' notice) and confirmation that no further charges will be made. Per the Help Center, card details are updated under Settings, then Billing.

Do I keep my website and domain if I cancel Topline Pro?

The Help Center states: "If you cancel your subscription you will no longer have access to the website design but still own the domain. The reason for this is because we built the initial website for free and did not charge any design fees." The pricing-page FAQ says you can "connect your existing domain or choose a new one through us." The Terms of Service do not address domain ownership and no transfer procedure appeared in the Help Center collections listed on 2026-09-30, so if Topline Pro registered a domain for you, ask in writing who the registrant is and how to transfer it. Under App Terms Section 3.3, backing up your own data is "solely your responsibility".

Does Topline Pro give refunds?

App Terms Section 8.2 states "fees paid are non-refundable", and Section 8 says that if you cancel "prior to the processing of your first invoice (i.e. up to and including the last day of your free trial)" your card will not be charged. No separate refund policy, refund procedure or results guarantee was found in the company pages checked on 2026-09-30. App Terms Section 13.1 limits liability to "the amount paid by you for the portion of the Services that gave rise to the claim." Ask support in writing if you believe you were charged in error; whether a card dispute is available, and how it is decided, depends on your card issuer's rules and card agreement.

Why did I get a text from Topline Pro, and how do I stop it?

Section 6 of the Website Terms says Topline Pro "sends transactional and informational text messages on behalf of home service professionals ("Pros") in response to service requests you initiate through a Pro's website," that "No promotional or marketing messages are sent," and "Reply STOP to opt out at any time; reply HELP for assistance." The Terms do not say whether STOP covers one contractor or all businesses using Topline Pro, so ask [email protected] to confirm in writing, and contact the contractor named in the message too: the Customer Privacy Policy does not cover how contractors handle your information. Keep the sender's number, dated screenshots and your STOP message. Unwanted-call complaints go to the FCC at fcc.gov/complaints ("Unwanted Calls/Texts (including do not call and spoofing)" on its phone form); the FTC's Do Not Call FAQ points call reports without a financial loss to DoNotCall.gov.

How do I ask Topline Pro to delete my data, and does it use data to train AI?

The Privacy Policy says you may email [email protected] "to request access to, correct or delete any Personal Information that you have provided to us", and that deleting it may require deleting your account. The Customer Privacy Policy (last updated May 13, 2026), which covers people who message a professional through the platform, says "We do not sell your personal information" and also says the company "may use personal data to improve our services and train or fine-tune the artificial intelligence and machine learning models that power our platform and services." It says it does not cover how the contractors you contact handle your data.

Is Topline Pro the same company as topline.com or other businesses named Topline?

Topline Pro at toplinepro.com is operated by Dwelling Management, Inc. The Terms of Service on topline.com name Topline Holdings Inc. as the provider of its services, and Topline Holdings Inc. was a defendant in Topline Pro's 2023 trademark case (dismissed by the plaintiff without prejudice). BBB also has a separate profile for Topline Pro Services LLC (remodel contractors, Boca Raton, FL). This page covers toplinepro.com only; confirm the domain and legal entity on your contract or invoice.

Has Topline Pro been sued or penalized by a regulator?

CourtListener searches for the company's names on 2026-09-30 identified one federal case under the names searched, and it is one the company filed: Dwelling Management Inc. v. Mission 8, LLC, et al., No. 1:23-cv-02593 (S.D.N.Y.), a trademark case opened March 27, 2023, voluntarily dismissed without prejudice and closed by order on June 28, 2023; on December 1, 2023 the court denied both sides' requests for sanctions. The search was not exhaustive (other courts, PACER-only material and state courts were not covered), and no consumer lawsuit or regulator action against Topline Pro was identified in the sources checked on 2026-09-30 (web search, SEC EDGAR, CourtListener, BBB, Trustpilot, ComplaintsBoard).
