Suno Inc. is named as the provider in the Terms of Service last revised August 10, 2026 and effective September 3, 2026, and the Terms give a Cambridge, Massachusetts mailing address for its Copyright Agent. The Terms contain an arbitration and dispute section: disputes are generally resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS, with a class action waiver and jury trial waiver; either side may instead bring an individual small claims case; there is a 60-day informal period after a written notice; and the Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Terms let a user reject future changes to the arbitration agreement by written notice within 30 days of the change; the Terms say this is not an opt-out of arbitration altogether. As of 2026-10-20, the Terms contain no general arbitration opt-out. For liability, the Terms say Suno's total liability to you for all damages, losses or causes of action will not exceed 'THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID SUNO IN THE LAST SIX (6) MONTHS, OR, IF GREATER, ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100)', and add that some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions.

Suno is a defendant in many pending federal cases, mostly about copyright (see the court cases section). Trustpilot shows 1.7 from 194 reviews (see the complaint record section). As of 2026-10-20, BBB has no Suno profile.

Complaint record: Trustpilot

Trustpilot (suno.com), as displayed on 2026-10-20: 1.7 from 194 reviews, category Music Store; star bars 73 percent one-star and 12 percent five-star. The profile is shown as claimed (October 2026) with 'Replied to 0% of negative reviews' and 'Typically replies within 1 week,' and Trustpilot displays the notice that the company has not invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative. We have not summarized review contents; they are reviewers' own statements.

This is the only external rating we verified for Suno. It measures only the people who chose to post on Trustpilot and does not measure customer satisfaction overall. This site has no archive complaints about Suno (0 approved posts) as of 2026-10-20; five 2010 posts mentioning a golf-equipment seller named Suno are an unrelated business. The CFPB complaint database does not apply to Suno, which is not a financial-product provider.

Suno complaints: cancel, refund and billing

This page was checked on 2026-10-20 against Suno's own Terms of Service and help center, Trustpilot and Justia's federal docket index. Suno is a subscription service; the steps on this page are quoted or paraphrased from the company's pages.

  • Cancel. The Terms say that to avoid future charges you 'must cancel your subscription before the subscription period renewal date' either 'within the account interface of the Site at https://suno.com/account' or by emailing [email protected]; after cancellation 'you will continue to have access to the paid Service through the end of the subscription period for which payment has already been made.' The help article 'How do I cancel my paid subscription?' says Stripe subscriptions are cancelled at suno.com/account with Cancel Subscription (you confirm the change), and that subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play 'should be canceled directly through those third party services.'
  • Updated Terms. The Terms say users who do not wish to continue under updated Terms 'must close their account prior to their renewal date or thirty (30) days after the effective date, whichever occurs first.'
  • Trials. The Terms say some trials require payment details, that Suno may begin charging 'on the first day after your trial ends' unless you cancel before it ends, and that a trial received through a third party must be cancelled with that third party.
  • Refund. The Terms say: 'Payments made by you hereunder are final and non-refundable, unless otherwise determined by Suno,' and add that nothing in the section limits any statutory refund rights under applicable law. The help article 'Can I get a refund?' says refunds are made case by case and gives examples it would honor (an accidental yearly purchase, for which it says it can switch you to a monthly plan with a partial refund, and a subscription started but unused with zero songs in the account) and examples it would not (changing your mind after months of use, intermittent use). For significant downtime from an outage or a feature that is not working, the article says Suno offers credits, which carry over to the next month, rather than a refund. For a request within a day or two it points to [email protected]. The Terms also say that if Suno discontinues the Service it will refund pre-paid fees on a pro rata basis.
  • Disputing a charge. The Terms say: 'If you dispute any charges you must let Suno know within sixty (60) days after the date that Suno charges you, or within such longer period of time as may be required under applicable law.' The Terms say Suno does not process payments itself and uses a third-party payment processor. A card issuer or app store also has its own dispute process.
  • Price changes. The Terms say Suno may change prices and will give notice in the Service, by pop-up or by email, and that continued use after the change means agreeing to the new amount.
  • Removed content or terminated account. The Terms say Suno may remove content that violates the Terms or the community guidelines, and may terminate accounts, including those of repeat infringers under its copyright policy.
  • Formal complaints. You can file with the FTC (reportfraud.ftc.gov) or your state attorney general. The Terms contain an arbitration clause (see the legitimacy section).

  • UMG Recordings, Inc. et al v. Suno, Inc. et al (the 2024 case; Justia's list of plaintiffs begins with The All Blacks U.S.A., Inc.), D. Mass. No. 1:24-cv-11611, filed June 24, 2024, Chief Judge F. Dennis Saylor IV; plaintiffs listed by Justia include Sony Music Entertainment, Atlantic Recording Corporation, Capitol Records, UMG Recordings, Warner Records, Warner Music International Services Limited and Rhino Entertainment; cause listed: 17 U.S.C. 101 copyright infringement. The docket shows that Suno filed an answer on August 1, 2024. Justia's copy of this docket was last retrieved on August 18, 2026 and its entries stop at August 8, 2024, so later events are not verified on the docket copy. Press reports (The Next Web, September 18, 2026; Chat GPT Is Eating the World, January 31, 2026) say the Warner-affiliated plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed their claims after a November 2025 settlement (court approval reported January 2026) and that UMG's and Sony's claims continue, and that on August 18, 2026 the court denied the labels' request to add more recordings to this case, without prejudice. Do not read the Warner entities on this page as current plaintiffs without that note.
  • UMG Recordings, Inc. et al v. Suno, Inc. and John Does 1-10 (the September 2026 case; it shares a caption with the 2024 case, so tell them apart by docket number), D. Mass. No. 1:26-cv-14275, filed September 18, 2026 (Judge Saylor), plaintiffs including UMG Recordings, Capitol Records, Sony Music Entertainment and affiliated labels (no Warner entity is named); cause listed: copyright infringement. The Next Web reports the complaint asserts 60,202 sound recordings; that figure is the plaintiffs' allegation. The docket copy shows a summons issued and a notice of appearance on September 18, 2026. A related miscellaneous case captioned UMG Recordings v. Suno (N.D. Cal. No. 3:26-mc-80303, filed October 13, 2026) lists Apple Inc. as petitioner on a motion to quash a deposition subpoena.
  • Justice et al v. Suno, Inc., D. Mass. No. 1:25-cv-11739, filed June 14, 2025 (Judge Saylor), by Anthony Justice, 5th Wheel Records, Inc. and My Heartland Publishing, LLC; cause listed: copyright infringement. Suno moved to dismiss the amended complaint on October 27, 2025; the reply was filed November 21, 2025 and no ruling appears in the docket copy.
  • Woulard et al v. Suno, Inc., N.D. Ill. No. 1:25-cv-12684, filed October 16, 2025 (Judge Andrea R. Wood), by David Woulard, Attack the Sound LLC and other named plaintiffs; cause listed: copyright infringement. Suno moved to dismiss the first amended complaint for lack of personal jurisdiction and improper venue, or in the alternative to transfer venue; Justia's copy, last retrieved March 10, 2026, shows that motion pending, and a March 10, 2026 minute entry says Suno's motion to stay discovery was granted and discovery is stayed pending resolution of the motion to dismiss.
  • Round Hill Music LP et al v. Suno, Inc., Bright Data Ltd. and Bright Data Inc., N.D. Cal. No. 3:26-cv-08507, filed August 17, 2026 (Judge Rita F. Lin); related by order of October 9, 2026 to Gerencia 360 Music, Inc. v. Suno, Inc. et al, N.D. Cal. No. 5:26-cv-09248, filed August 31, 2026. Both list copyright infringement. On October 13, 2026 the court extended the plaintiffs' deadline to file an amended complaint to October 19, 2026 and set a schedule for the defendants' response.
  • Other dockets listing Suno as a defendant: Will-Burn Recordings & Publishing Co. v. UMG Recordings, Inc., et al (S.D. Ala. No. 1:26-cv-00177, filed May 13, 2026, copyright; Suno, Inc. is one of several defendants Justia lists); Lowery et al v. Suno, Inc. (D. Mass. No. 1:26-cv-14005, filed August 31, 2026; only the complaint is shown); S.A. Jamendo v. Suno Inc. (D. Mass. No. 1:26-cv-12966, filed June 29, 2026, copyright); Poseidon Wave Media LLC v. Suno, Inc. Warner Music Inc. and Suno Inc. (N.D. Ill. No. 1:26-cv-11798, filed September 25, 2026, cause listed as 18 U.S.C. 2518); Gawronski v. Suno Inc. (S.D. Tex. Who operates Suno

The Terms of Service (last revised August 10, 2026; effective September 3, 2026) say that Suno Inc. provides the service through suno.com, social platforms such as Discord and its mobile apps. Federal court dockets name the defendant 'Suno, Inc.' The Terms give 'Suno Legal, 17 Dunster Street, Floor 4, Cambridge, MA 02138' as the mailing address for its Copyright Agent; the Terms do not call it a headquarters but state that 'Suno is headquartered in the United States.'

The Terms describe the service as processing user 'Submissions' to 'generate and return audio and visual output' (called Output). They say Pro and Premier subscribers receive an assignment of Suno's rights in Output they generate, with 'no representation or warranty' that any copyright will vest in it, and that free or basic tier users may use Output only for 'lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes.' The Terms point to suno.com for plan prices. Suno's help center lists a Suno disclosure under California AB 2013 (training-data transparency) and a minimum-age article.

A BBB search for 'Suno' near Cambridge, MA on 2026-10-20 showed no Suno Inc. profile (results were unrelated businesses); this is a search result, not a statement that no profile exists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who operates Suno?

The Terms of Service last revised August 10, 2026 say Suno Inc. provides the service through suno.com and its apps, and give 'Suno Legal, 17 Dunster Street, Floor 4, Cambridge, MA 02138' as the mailing address for its Copyright Agent. Federal dockets name the defendant 'Suno, Inc.' (read 2026-10-20).

How do I cancel a Suno subscription?

Suno's help center says a Stripe-billed subscription is cancelled at suno.com/account with Cancel Subscription, and that App Store or Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled in those stores. The Terms also allow cancelling by emailing [email protected], and say cancellation must happen before the renewal date to avoid the next charge; access continues to the end of the paid period.

Does Suno give refunds?

The Terms say payments are 'final and non-refundable, unless otherwise determined by Suno,' without limiting statutory refund rights. The help article 'Can I get a refund?' says refunds are decided case by case, lists an accidental yearly purchase (a switch to a monthly plan with a partial refund) and an unused accidental sign-up as examples it would honor, says significant downtime is met with credits that carry over to the next month, and lists a change of mind after months of use as one it would not. Contact [email protected].

How long do I have to dispute a Suno charge?

The Terms say you must let Suno know within sixty (60) days after a charge, or within any longer period required by applicable law. The Terms also say Suno uses a third-party payment processor; your card issuer or app store has its own dispute rules.

What does Trustpilot show for Suno?

On 2026-10-20 Trustpilot displayed 1.7 from 194 reviews for suno.com, with 73 percent of ratings at one star and 12 percent at five stars. The profile is claimed, shows 'Replied to 0% of negative reviews,' and carries Trustpilot's notice that the company has not invited customers recently, so reviews may not be representative.

Is Suno being sued?

Justia's docket index read on 2026-10-20 lists 17 federal cases naming Suno, Inc., including copyright suits by record labels and music publishers or artists in the District of Massachusetts, the Northern District of California and elsewhere. They are allegations.

Can I sue Suno in court?

The Terms of Service contain an arbitration agreement with a class action waiver and jury trial waiver. Disputes generally go to binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS after a 60-day informal period following a written notice sent by registered mail to 17 Dunster Street, Floor 4, Cambridge, MA 02138 (the Terms' 'Notice Address'); completing that process is a condition precedent to arbitration. Either side may bring an individual small claims case instead. A user may reject future changes to the arbitration agreement by written notice within 30 days of the change, which the Terms say is not an opt-out of arbitration altogether. The Terms are governed by Massachusetts law.

Where can I file a complaint about Suno?

Contact [email protected] or [email protected] first. You can also file with the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov or your state attorney general, and dispute a charge with your card issuer or app store. No published complaint reports are currently linked to this profile.
