Returns, Shipping and Contacting SKIMS

Returns (U.S. Returns page). The page says: "You can make a return within 30 days of placing your order for a store credit or refund. Products marked Final Sale cannot be returned." Merchandise must be new, unworn and unwashed, with all tags and liners attached, and a proof of purchase is required. Online orders can be returned by mail, at a Happy Returns Return Bar or at a SKIMS store; original shipping fees are not refunded.

More detailShow less

SKIMS Outlet purchases can be returned only at outlets, and in-store purchases can be returned online only if the shopper gave an email address at checkout.

Return fee. "Domestic returns are subject to a $6.00 return shipping fee; this fee is waived if you select store credit as your form of return payment." The page also invites shoppers to join SKIMS Rewards in the app for free returns. Refunds go to the original payment method, including prepaid cards, or to store credit at the customer's choice; gift returns receive store credit.

More detailShow less

The page adds that returns are handled case by case at SKIMS' discretion and that excessive returns may lead it to refuse future orders or returns.

Exchanges. The FAQs page states that exchanges are not offered. Instead, a customer can return the item for store credit, which SKIMS says lets you place a new order sooner than waiting for a refund to the original payment method; with a drop-off return, the credit is issued and emailed once the items are scanned at the return counter. The Shipping page likewise says SKIMS is "not currently set up for reshipment orders or exchanges."

Shipping (U.S. Shipping page). "We offer free shipping on all orders over $75 in the U.S." Orders take 1-2 business days to process, and the listed U.S. delivery windows run from 1-2 business days (UPS) to 4-7 business days for Economy (UPS/USPS).

More detailShow less

P.O. Box and APO/FPO addresses must use the Economy option, and SKIMS does not ship to freight-forwarding addresses.

Changing or cancelling an order. "SKIMS orders begin processing as soon as submitted and typically cannot be stopped or changed." The cart notice repeats that orders cannot be changed or cancelled once placed. After shipment, address changes go through the carrier and may carry fees.

Package tracking shows delivered or has stopped moving. The Shipping page asks customers to contact Customer Service if tracking shows no movement for more than 5 business days, and, for a package shown as delivered, to check the area around the delivery address first.

More detailShow less

It states that "SKIMS is not liable for missing packages marked delivered" and recommends filing a claim with the carrier for a mis-delivery.

Contacting SKIMS. Email [email protected] or use the live chat on the Contact Us page, which lists 24-hour support Monday to Friday and 8 AM to 8 PM Pacific on weekends. Include the order number, the email on the order and photos of any damage.

Stopping marketing texts. The SMS sign-up notice on skims.com says recipients can reply STOP to cancel marketing texts and HELP for help.

If the company does not fix it. For a charge you did not authorize or an order you never received, a credit card holder can dispute the charge in writing with the card issuer under the Fair Credit Billing Act, generally within 60 days of the statement that shows it; debit cards and payment apps have different rules. Complaints can also be filed with the BBB, which forwards them to the company, with the attorney general of your state, or with the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. Problems with the pajama set recall refund can be reported to the CPSC through the recall complaint form on its recall page.

Impersonation. The FAQs page says SKIMS "will never reach out directly to individuals for casting, influencer collaborations, campaigns, or similar opportunities via personal email addresses, third-party platforms, or unofficial channels," and that legitimate outreach comes from an @skims.com address or a verified SKIMS social media account.

Recalls, Regulators and Advertising Review

CPSC recall of children's pajama sets (May 2, 2024). CPSC recall number 24-216 covered SKIMS fleece children's two-piece, button-up plaid pajama sets in sizes 2T to 10, about 1,200 units in the U.S. plus 23 in Canada, sold online and at the SKIMS store in Austin, Texas from November 2023 through January 2024 for about $54. CPSC states: "The children's pajama sets fail to meet the flammability regulations for children's sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children." No injuries were reported. The remedy is a refund: consumers stop using the pajamas, cut the top and bottom in half, upload a photo at recallrtr.com/pajamasets and receive a full refund of the purchase price plus a credit toward a future SKIMS purchase. CPSC names Skims Body Inc. of Los Angeles, California as the importer; the sets were made in the Philippines and carry RN158973 on the side seam label. The CPSC page lists a SKIMS text line, (747) 777-5467, the email [email protected] and a "Product Recall" link at the bottom of skims.com.

New Jersey sales tax settlement (January 2026). The New Jersey Attorney General announced that Skims Body, Inc. agreed to pay a $200,000 civil penalty. The Division of Consumer Affairs alleged that from 2019 through 2024 the company engaged in "unconscionable business practices by collecting sales tax on tax-exempt items," in violation of the Consumer Fraud Act. Everyday clothing and footwear are exempt from New Jersey sales tax. According to the release, SKIMS had already sent the collected tax to the New Jersey Division of Taxation and worked to identify and reimburse affected customers, and under the consent order it will use its best efforts for four years to complete additional customer refund requests in a reasonably timely manner and must keep systems in place to stop charging tax on exempt items. CBS News New York quotes the company as attributing the overcharges to "a technical error in our sales tax collection system" and saying it has corrected its systems, contacted affected customers and added safeguards. New Jersey shoppers who were charged the tax can still request a refund from SKIMS.

NAD review of influencer disclosures (March 27, 2025). In NAD Case #7365 the advertising self-regulation body of BBB National Programs examined whether posts by Lana Del Rey (January 2024) and Brittany Mahomes (November 2023) clearly disclosed their connection to SKIMS under the FTC Endorsement Guides. NAD found that Del Rey's three posts lacked a clear and conspicuous disclosure; SKIMS voluntarily asked her to modify them, and NAD treated that as if it had recommended the change and SKIMS had agreed. For Mahomes, NAD found that tagging the brand in the images was not an adequate disclosure and recommended that SKIMS take reasonable steps to have Mahomes discontinue or modify her challenged posts. SKIMS said it welcomes the opportunity to work with NAD in upholding high standards of truth and accuracy.

What SKIMS Sells and Who Operates It

SKIMS describes itself as "a solutions oriented brand creating the next generation of underwear, loungewear and shapewear." Its site lists clothing, bras, underwear, shapewear, men's and kids' lines, accessories and a NikeSKIMS collection, sold online, in its app and in company stores. The website and mobile app are operated by Skims Body, Inc., according to the Terms of Service, and the company is the importer named in its 2024 federal recall notice.

A November 2025 Goldman Sachs Asset Management press release says SKIMS was co-founded in 2019 by Kim Kardashian and Jens Grede, who is its chief executive, and that a $225 million capital raise led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives valued the company at $5 billion. Terms of Service: Arbitration and Class Action Waiver

The Terms of Service ("Last updated August 13, 2025") are between the user and Skims Body, Inc. and open with a notice in capital letters that, to the extent permitted by law, by using the service the user agrees "to arbitrate disputes against us in your individual capacity" and waives the right to act as a plaintiff or class member in a class or representative proceeding.

  • Section 15, governing law and dispute resolution. California law and applicable federal law govern. Disputes are to be settled by binding and confidential arbitration unless resolved earlier through the notice procedure. The agreement to arbitrate expressly covers claims about text messages and emails received from the company.
  • Pre-arbitration notice (Section 15(B)). A party must first send a written notice of the dispute by email, with a delivery receipt requested, describing the dispute and the specific relief sought; the company's notice address is [email protected]. The parties then work to resolve it for thirty days before either may start arbitration.
  • Forum, rules and fees. Arbitration is conducted under the Comprehensive Dispute Resolution Rules and Procedures of National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM), before one arbitrator in Los Angeles, California, or by video conference at the claimant's election. A customer who starts arbitration pays NAM's initial administrative fee, and claims of $15,000 or less are decided solely on submitted documents.
  • Class action waiver (Section 15(G)). To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, claims against the company "must be brought in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding." If this waiver is found unenforceable, the rest of Section 15 is also unenforceable.
  • Small claims. The Terms preserve each party's right to "file suit on an individual basis in small claims court for applicable claims."
  • Courts. A dispute held not arbitrable goes to the state or federal courts in Los Angeles County, California.

The Terms also state that Skims Body, Inc. is not affiliated with the SKIMMIES brand or Jockey International Inc.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have to return a SKIMS order?

The U.S. Returns page allows a return "within 30 days of placing your order" for a store credit or refund. Items must be new, unworn and unwashed, with all tags and liners attached, and final sale items cannot be returned.

Does SKIMS charge for returns?

Domestic returns carry a $6.00 return shipping fee, which is waived if you choose store credit. The Returns page says SKIMS Rewards members get free returns through the app, and that original shipping fees are not refunded.

Can I return SKIMS final sale items?

The Returns page says "Products marked Final Sale cannot be returned." If a final sale item arrives damaged or is not what was ordered, contact [email protected] with the order number and photos before taking further steps.

Does SKIMS offer exchanges?

The FAQs page says exchanges are not offered. A customer returns the item and places a new order; choosing store credit avoids the $6.00 domestic return fee and, with a drop-off return, the credit is emailed as soon as the items are scanned at the return counter.

Can I cancel or change a SKIMS order after placing it?

SKIMS says orders begin processing as soon as they are submitted and "typically cannot be stopped or changed." After shipment, address corrections go through the carrier and may carry fees paid to the carrier.

What if my SKIMS package says delivered but I never received it?

The Shipping page tells customers to check around the delivery address and then contact Customer Service. It adds that SKIMS is not liable for missing packages marked delivered and recommends filing a claim with the carrier for a mis-delivery. If no resolution follows, a credit card holder can dispute the charge with the issuer in writing within 60 days of the statement.

How do I contact SKIMS customer service?

Email [email protected] or use live chat from the Contact Us page, which lists 24-hour support Monday to Friday and 8 AM to 8 PM Pacific on Saturday and Sunday. Have the order number and order email ready.

Has SKIMS had a product recall?

CPSC recall 24-216 (May 2, 2024) covered SKIMS fleece children's pajama sets that failed federal flammability rules for children's sleepwear. The remedy is a full refund plus a credit toward a future purchase after the owner cuts the set in half and uploads a photo at recallrtr.com/pajamasets. CPSC lists the SKIMS recall text line (747) 777-5467 and [email protected].

Can I sue SKIMS or join a class action?

The Terms of Service require binding arbitration with National Arbitration and Mediation and waive class and representative proceedings (Section 15), with individual small-claims suits preserved. A written notice to [email protected] and a thirty-day resolution period come first. Even so, proposed class actions have been filed against Skims Body, Inc. in federal court: two from 2024, over website tracking and marketing texts, were dismissed, and a 2026 suit over early-morning marketing texts is pending. Its claims are allegations, not findings.
