Sauna360

Sauna360, Inc., of Cokato, Minnesota, manufactures and markets traditional, infrared and hybrid sauna rooms, sauna heaters and steam-bath generators under the Tylö, Helo, Kastor, Finnleo and Amerec brands, sold through a dealer network rather than direct to consumers; Masco Corporation (NYSE: MAS) says in its SEC filings that it acquired all of the share capital of Sauna360 Group Oy in the third quarter of 2023 and included the business in its Plumbing Products segment. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled Sauna360's Tylö Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid sauna benches for a fall hazard in October 2025 and expanded that recall in September 2026 after the first repair proved ineffective, and separately recalled about 41,580 infrared and hybrid infrared saunas and infrared kits sold under several Sauna360 brand names for a fire and burn hazard, also in September 2026. Sauna360's BBB profile, still filed under its former name Tylohelo Inc, shows zero complaints and zero customer reviews, and a CourtListener search run September 28, 2026 found no federal lawsuit against Sauna360 over either recall, although personal-injury law firms have posted pages soliciting potential clients. USAComplaints has no complaints on file naming Sauna360, Tylö, Helo, Finnleo, Kastor or Amerec as of that date.

Own a Sauna360, Tylö, Finnleo, Helo, Kastor or Amerec sauna? Check these two recalls

Sauna360, Inc. of Cokato, Minnesota — the U.S. company behind the Tylö, Helo, Kastor, Finnleo and Amerec sauna and steam brands — has two active recall programs, covered by three Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) notices, as of September 28, 2026. Both affect finished sauna rooms and, for one recall, custom infrared panels sold into rooms that carry no sauna brand at all.

  • Tylö Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid sauna benches (fall hazard). CPSC's notice states the hazard plainly: "The saunas contain a bench that can collapse, posing a fall hazard to consumers." Sauna360 first recalled about 1,000 of these units in October 2025 after seven reports of benches breaking, including one consumer with head and neck injuries. On September 17, 2026, Sauna360 expanded the recall to roughly 6,000 units after 77 additional reports of benches breaking, with six injuries including another head-and-neck injury and a sprained ankle, because, per CPSC, "the previous recall repair was ineffective." Even consumers who already had the 2025 repair done are told to stop using the sauna and request the new repair.
  • Infrared saunas, hybrid infrared saunas and infrared kits (fire and burn hazard). Also announced September 17, 2026, this recall covers about 41,580 U.S. units (plus roughly 6,758 in Canada) sold from May 2013 through July 2026 under the Finnleo, Helo, Radiant Health, Sauna360, Saunatec, Tylo and Tylohelo names, an unbranded "No Brand" S Series, and Amerec-branded infrared kits. CPSC's stated hazard: "The infrared panels in the saunas and kits can short circuit, causing them to overheat, posing a risk of serious injury from fire and burn hazards." Sauna360 had logged 67 reports of overheating, melting, charring or burning; CPSC's notice states no injuries have been reported.

How to check your unit: for the bench recall, the serial number is on the packaging and on the sauna — beneath the upper bench on Halmstad rooms (above the electrical contactor box) or on the right wall beneath the upper bench on Kiruna Hybrid rooms. For the infrared recall, look for "Saunalogic," "Infralogic," "Carbonflex" or "Tylö" on the control panel of a custom room, or the brand badge, control panel, manual or logo handle on a pre-configured unit; the serial number is under the lower bench or on the wall under the upper bench. Sauna360's own recall page, sauna360.com/product-recall, links to model and serial-number tables for each recall and lets consumers submit a serial number to check eligibility.

What to do: stop using the affected bench or infrared unit immediately. For the bench recall, the September 2026 expanded notice tells owners to stop using the sauna, even if it already received the 2025 repair, and to contact Sauna360 for another free repair, in which a professional installer retrofits the benches with additional hardware and supports (the original 2025 remedy also included a revised manual stating the weight limit). For the infrared recall, Sauna360 will schedule a free in-home repair by a professional installer. Reach Sauna360 at 866-936-5962 (8 a.m.–5 p.m. ET, Monday–Friday) or [email protected] for either recall.

CPSC recall details: units, injuries, remedy and who made the products

Sauna360 Recalls Tylö Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid Saunas Due to Fall Hazard (CPSC Recall 26-040, announced October 23, 2025). About 1,000 units. Models: Tylö Halmstad 2, 3 and 4 with BLISS control, and Tylö Kiruna Hybrid 2 and 3 with BLISS control, in specific serial-number ranges printed in the manual. Remedy: "Consumers should stop using the Tylö Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid Sauna benches immediately and contact Sauna360 for a free repair. Sauna360 will provide a professional installer to retrofit the benches with additional hardware." Sold by various distributors nationwide from July 2024 through December 2024 for $6,000 to $12,000. Importer: Sauna360, Inc., of Cokato, Minnesota.

Sauna360 Expands Recall of Tylö Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid Saunas Due to Fall Hazard; New Remedy Provided (CPSC Recall 26-783, announced September 17, 2026). About 6,000 units in total (the October 2025 recall plus newly covered units). CPSC's hazard statement: "The saunas contain a bench that can collapse, posing a fall hazard to consumers. The previous recall repair was ineffective; a new repair is now being offered." Sauna360 had by then received 77 additional reports of benches breaking, with six injuries, including one consumer with head and neck injuries and another with a sprained ankle. New remedy: a professional installer retrofits the benches "with additional hardware and supports," and consumers who already received the 2025 repair are told to get the new one too. Sold nationwide from July 2024 through July 2026 for $6,000 to $12,000. This notice names the manufacturer as SFactor, of China.

Sauna360 Recalls Infrared Saunas, Hybrid Infrared Saunas and Infrared Kits Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Fire and Burn Hazards (CPSC Recall 26-784, announced September 17, 2026). About 41,580 units in the United States (plus about 6,758 in Canada). Hazard: "The infrared panels in the saunas and kits can short circuit, causing them to overheat, posing a risk of serious injury from fire and burn hazards." Sauna360 had received 67 reports of overheating, melting, charring or burning; CPSC's notice states no injuries have been reported. Remedy: a free in-home repair by a professional installer, scheduled by contacting Sauna360. Sold at Costco stores and pool and spa dealerships nationwide, and online at Costco.com and other sites, from May 2013 through July 2026, for $6,000 to $13,000. Importer: Sauna360 Inc., of Cokato, Minnesota. The recalled brand names/series include Finnleo IS Series and S Series, Finnleo Sentinel and Sentinel Hybrid, Helo S Series, Radiant Health Elite and Pause series, and Sauna360/Saunatec/Tylo/Tylohelo-branded units and custom or semi-custom infrared kits (sold under names including Saunalogic, Infralogic, Carbonflex, Aspire and Bliss), plus Amerec-branded infrared kits.

For both the bench recall and the infrared recall, CPSC's published notices are the primary source for exact model numbers, serial-number ranges and identification instructions; consumers should match their unit against those notices or use the product-identification documents and online recall registration at sauna360.com/product-recall (CPSC says owners can give Sauna360 the serial number to determine whether a unit is affected) rather than relying on this summary alone.

Canada. Health Canada published a joint recall with CPSC and Sauna360 on September 17, 2026 (identification number RA-82120) for Finnleo, Tylo, Polar, Radiant Health and Helo brand saunas and infrared kits. The company reported 6,758 units sold in Canada, sold from January 2013 to August 2026; as of September 10, 2026 it had received 5 incident reports and no injury reports in Canada. Canadian owners are told to stop using the product immediately and contact Sauna360 (1-866-936-5962 or [email protected]) to schedule a free in-home repair.

Company background: from Kastor and Tylö to Sauna360, now part of Masco

Per Sauna360's own history page, the group traces its brands back to 1916, when Kastor became "the first Finnish sauna brand"; Helo followed as "the first manufacturers of electric sauna heaters in the 1950's"; Tylö's founder "built his first heater" in 1951; and in 1984 "Finnleo took the Finnish sauna to the US and became North America's pure sauna specialist." The Better Business Bureau lists the Cokato, Minnesota legal entity's business start and incorporation date as October 1984, consistent with Finnleo's U.S. entry that year.

According to Sauna360's 2021 renaming announcement, Swedish Tylö and Finnish Helo merged into TyloHelo in 2017. In 2019, the Finnish private-equity firm Nordic Mezzanine acquired all shares in the company, according to SaunaTimes' industry reporting. On December 30, 2021, the company stated that TyloHelo had changed its name to Sauna360, uniting the Tylö, Helo, Kastor, Finnleo and Amerec brands under one group name. The Better Business Bureau's file for the Cokato, Minnesota entity has not been updated to reflect the new name and is still listed as "Tylohelo Inc"; the BBB's "About This Business" text also still refers to the entity by an older trade name, "Saunatec."

On July 27, 2023, Masco Corporation (NYSE: MAS) — a Livonia, Michigan-based manufacturer of home-improvement and building products — disclosed in its second-quarter 2023 earnings release, filed with the SEC, that it had "entered into an agreement to acquire Sauna360 Group Oy, a strategic bolt-on that expands the Company's spa and wellness product offerings." A joint press release from Watkins Wellness, a Masco subsidiary whose brands include Hot Spring Spas, Caldera Spas, Freeflow Spas, Fantasy Spas and Endless Pools Fitness Systems, said the acquisition would let "Watkins Wellness expand into the sauna category" and that the deal was expected to close in the third quarter of 2023, subject to regulatory approval. Sauna360's own website terms of use, last updated March 2025, direct consumers with an unresolved dispute to contact "Masco Corporation, ATTN: General Counsel, 17450 College Parkway, Livonia, Michigan 48152," and set Wright County, Minnesota (where Cokato is located) as the venue for litigated disputes — both consistent with Sauna360 now operating inside Masco's corporate structure.

Sauna360's U.S. operations are based at 575 Cokato Street E., Cokato, Minnesota, per the company's own contact page, the BBB profile, and the CPSC recall notices, which name "Sauna360, Inc., of Cokato, Minnesota" as the importer of the recalled products. Sauna360's contact page separately lists "Sauna360 International," PL 15, FI-10901 Hanko, Finland (VAT No. 2068197-4), as its non-U.S. address. Per the BBB profile, Sauna360 sells only through a dealer network and directs refund and exchange requests to the local dealer, not to the company directly.

Complaint record: USAComplaints, BBB and Trustpilot

USAComplaints: a search of this site's approved posts for "Sauna360," "Sauna 360," "Finnleo," "Tylo," "Tylö," "Helo" and "Amerec" in the offender field or title, run September 28, 2026, found no post that actually names Sauna360 or any of its five brands as the subject; the matches returned by those search terms were unrelated posts about other people or businesses whose names happen to contain "Tyler," "Helo" or similar substrings. USAComplaints has zero own posts on file about Sauna360 or its brands as of that date.

BBB: Sauna360's Better Business Bureau file, still listed under the name "Tylohelo Inc" (TyloHelo was the group's name before its 2021 renaming as Sauna360) at 575 Cokato St E, Cokato, MN, is not BBB Accredited but carries a BBB Rating of A+. As displayed on September 28, 2026, the profile shows zero complaints and zero customer reviews. The BBB file lists sauna360.com, amerec.com, finnleo.com, helosauna.com and tylo.com among the business's associated websites, and states the business does not license its brands to others.

Trustpilot: an unclaimed Trustpilot profile exists for finnleo.com, showing zero reviews as of September 28, 2026 ("Be the first to review www.finnleo.com"). No Trustpilot profile was found for sauna360.com, amerec.com, helosauna.com or tylo.com when checked directly on that date.

Because each source covers a different population and time window, these figures are reported separately and not combined.

Lawsuits: none found filed as of September 28, 2026; law firms are soliciting clients

A CourtListener search for federal court filings naming "Sauna360," "Tylo Halmstad" or "SFactor" (the manufacturer named in the bench-recall expansion), run September 28, 2026, found no personal-injury or class-action case naming Sauna360, Inc. or its Tylö brand over either the sauna-bench or infrared recalls. The one result matching "Sauna360" was an unrelated bankruptcy filing by a different company, Decorative Plumbing Distributors, LLC.

Several personal-injury law firms — including Johnson // Becker and The Clark Firm, LLP — have published web pages soliciting people injured by a collapsed Tylö Halmstad or Kiruna Hybrid sauna bench, stating they are "currently accepting new sauna lawsuits nationwide" and offering free case reviews. These are client-intake and marketing pages, not filed lawsuits: they contain no case names, court, or filing dates, and Johnson // Becker's own infrared-recall page similarly describes the September 2026 CPSC notice without referencing any pending case. As of the date checked, no class action or individual lawsuit tied to either Sauna360 recall had been confirmed as filed in federal court.

Is Sauna360 Legitimate?

Sauna360, Inc. is a real, operating manufacturer of sauna and steam products headquartered at 575 Cokato Street E., Cokato, Minnesota, selling through a nationwide dealer network under the Tylö, Helo, Kastor, Finnleo and Amerec brand names. Since a July 2023 agreement disclosed in Masco Corporation's own SEC filings, Sauna360 has operated within Masco Corporation (NYSE: MAS), a large, publicly traded home-improvement products company, as an affiliate of Masco's Watkins Wellness division. Sauna360 is currently the subject of two active CPSC recall programs (three CPSC notices) — a sauna-bench fall hazard (first recalled October 2025, expanded September 2026 after the initial repair proved ineffective) and an infrared-panel fire and burn hazard (announced September 2026) — and is offering free repairs to affected consumers through those recall programs. Its Better Business Bureau file (listed under the name Tylohelo Inc) shows an A+ rating with zero complaints and zero customer reviews, and a CourtListener search run September 28, 2026 did not identify a federal lawsuit against Sauna360 over either recall. This page assigns Sauna360 no rating, score or "scam" label of its own; readers can weigh the recall and complaint record above for themselves, and should check sauna360.com/product-recall directly to see whether their specific unit is affected.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my Tylö sauna part of the bench recall?

Only specific Tylö Halmstad (2, 3 and 4) and Kiruna Hybrid (2 and 3) sauna rooms with BLISS control and serial numbers in the ranges CPSC published are affected. The serial number is on the packaging and on the sauna itself — beneath the upper bench on the left side on Halmstad rooms, or on the right wall beneath the upper bench on Kiruna Hybrid rooms. Sauna360 expanded this recall on September 17, 2026 after the 2025 repair proved ineffective, so even consumers who already had that repair done should stop using the bench and contact Sauna360 for the new repair. Check your exact model and serial-number range at sauna360.com/product-recall or in CPSC's recall notice.

Is my infrared sauna part of the fire-hazard recall?

The September 17, 2026 recall covers about 41,580 U.S. units (plus about 6,758 in Canada) sold from May 2013 through July 2026 under the Finnleo, Helo, Radiant Health, Sauna360, Saunatec, Tylo and Tylohelo names, an unbranded "No Brand" S Series, and Amerec-branded infrared kits, including custom rooms built with panels marked "Saunalogic," "Infralogic," "Carbonflex" or "Tylö." Look for the brand badge, control-panel markings, manual or logo handle, and find the serial number under the lower bench or on the wall under the upper bench. Sauna360 says the panels "can short circuit, causing them to overheat," and is offering a free in-home repair by a professional installer.

How do I contact Sauna360 about a recall or warranty issue?

For either 2026 recall, Sauna360's consumer contact line is 866-936-5962 (8 a.m.–5 p.m. ET, Monday–Friday), or email [email protected]; recall information, product-identification documents and online registration are at sauna360.com/product-recall. Sauna360's Cokato, Minnesota corporate office can also be reached at 320-286-5584. Because Sauna360 sells through independent dealers rather than directly to consumers, its BBB profile states that refund and exchange requests should go to "your local dealer" rather than to Sauna360 itself, and Amerec directs warranty registration and warranty-information requests to Amerec, and its contact page says authorized dealers can also provide support and manage claims.

Who owns Sauna360 now?

Masco Corporation (NYSE: MAS) says in its Form 10-Q for the third quarter of 2023 that it "acquired all of the share capital of Sauna360 Group Oy" during that quarter; on July 27, 2023, Masco had disclosed in its SEC-filed second-quarter earnings release that it had "entered into an agreement to acquire Sauna360 Group Oy." Sauna360 now operates as part of Masco's Watkins Wellness affiliate, alongside Hot Spring Spas, Caldera Spas, Freeflow Spas, Fantasy Spas and Endless Pools Fitness Systems. Before that, Sauna360 (then still called TyloHelo) had been wholly owned by the Finnish private-equity firm Nordic Mezzanine since 2019; the TyloHelo name was retired in favor of "Sauna360" in a rename announced December 30, 2021.

Has anyone sued Sauna360 over the sauna-bench or infrared recalls?

A CourtListener search for federal court filings naming Sauna360, its Tylö brand, or SFactor (the manufacturer named in the bench-recall expansion), run September 28, 2026, found no personal-injury or class-action lawsuit filed over either recall. Personal-injury law firms, including Johnson // Becker and The Clark Firm, LLP, have posted pages inviting potentially injured consumers to contact them for a free case review, but these are client-solicitation pages, not filed lawsuits, and none of them cite an actual case name, court or filing date.

Is Sauna360 (Tylö, Finnleo, Helo, Amerec) a legitimate company?

Sauna360, Inc. is a real, operating manufacturer headquartered in Cokato, Minnesota, and has been part of the publicly traded Masco Corporation (NYSE: MAS) since 2023. It is currently running two CPSC-registered recall and free-repair programs — for sauna-bench collapse and for infrared-panel overheating — and its BBB file shows zero complaints and an A+ rating (the business is not BBB Accredited). This page assigns Sauna360 no rating or "scam" label of its own; consumers with an affected unit should check sauna360.com/product-recall directly rather than rely on any single source.

Were there any BBB complaints about Sauna360?

As of September 28, 2026, the Better Business Bureau's file for the Cokato, Minnesota entity (still listed under its former name, "Tylohelo Inc") showed zero complaints and zero customer reviews, alongside a BBB Rating of A+. The business is not BBB Accredited.

Does Sauna360 sell directly to consumers, or only through dealers?

Sauna360's BBB profile states that "purchase is through dealer network" and directs refund and exchange requests to "your local dealer," not to Sauna360 itself. Each brand's own website (Finnleo, Helo, Tylo, Amerec) also directs shoppers to a "Find a dealer" tool rather than an online store.

Why did Sauna360 recall the Tylö sauna benches twice?

Sauna360 first recalled about 1,000 Tylö Halmstad and Kiruna Hybrid sauna benches in October 2025 after seven reports of the benches breaking, offering a free retrofit with additional hardware. CPSC's September 17, 2026 notice states that "the previous recall repair was ineffective" — Sauna360 received 77 more reports of benches breaking after that repair, with six injuries — so it expanded the recall to about 6,000 units and is now offering a new repair that adds "additional hardware and supports." Consumers who already received the 2025 repair are told to get the new repair as well.

What does the Sauna360 infrared sauna recall repair involve, and what does it cost?

Sauna360's recall FAQ says professional installers will "put in new circuit boards on every sauna with a new fuse connected to every panel of every sauna room no matter the brand or the model." After you register, the company says the required parts are ordered and shipped, and an authorized technician contacts you to schedule the repair once parts are available; it says it cannot currently give an exact timeline for parts. The parts, labor and service visit are provided at no charge, and the company says participation in the recall does not affect any applicable warranty coverage. The CPSC remedy for both recalls is a free repair, not a refund.

What if my sauna is covered by both the bench recall and the infrared recall?

Sauna360's infrared-recall FAQ says that if you also received a notification about the bench recall, "We expect to resolve both issues in a single service visit." Contact Sauna360 at 866-936-5962 (Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m. ET) or [email protected].

Is the Sauna360 infrared sauna recall also in effect in Canada?

Health Canada recall RA-82120 (September 17, 2026), a joint recall with CPSC and Sauna360, covers Finnleo, Tylo, Polar, Radiant Health and Helo brand saunas and infrared kits, with 6,758 units reported sold in Canada from January 2013 to August 2026 and 5 Canadian incident reports and no injuries as of September 10, 2026. The remedy is the same free in-home repair. Sauna360's own recall page also says nine of the benches in the original October 2025 bench recall were sold in Canada.
