SameDay Auto Finance payments, account changes and complaints: what the company's pages say (checked October 12, 2026)

These routes come from SameDay Auto Finance's own website and from the regulators' pages, all opened on October 12, 2026.

  • Phone: 817-984-4335. The website lists it for payments by phone and for notifying the company of insurance changes, address updates or other account changes. The PayNearMe payment page says help is available at that number "between 8 am to 7 pm CST".
  • Web payment: the website's "Make a payment" button links to PayNearMe (paynearme.com/samedayauto), which asks for the account number, an email or mobile number, and the 5-digit ZIP code; a second "PAYMENT / PAGO" button under "To Make A Web Payment, Click Below" also goes to PayNearMe, with a Spanish option per the site. The website also says "recurring payments from their bank account at no charge" are offered and to ask a customer care specialist to get started.
  • Text messages: the company's Text Message Policy covers account-related messages only; to opt out, "text STOP" to any message; for support, text HELP or email [email protected].
  • Complaint to the company: mail to SameDay Auto Finance LLC, PO Box 168166, Irving, TX 75016, Attn: Compliance Officer, or email [email protected].
  • Complaint to the Texas regulator: the website says the company is licensed in Texas and subject to oversight by the Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner (OCCC). The OCCC's page offers an online complaint process ("Begin Complaint Filing Process") and a downloadable complaint form, and lists its Consumer Assistance helpline at 800-538-1579; it says the office assists Texas consumers with issues involving regulated companies concerning "motor vehicle sales financing", among other products. SameDay's website lists the OCCC's mail and in-person address as 2601 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, TX 78705-4207. The OCCC page notes that the office does not give legal advice and will not intervene if a matter is in litigation or a court has ruled.
  • If the dealer is in Oklahoma: the company's inquiry form says it works with dealerships in Texas or Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Department of Consumer Credit has a complaint page at oklahoma.gov/okdocc/complaints/submit-complaint.html and lists a main line of 405-521-3653. The company's website does not state an Oklahoma licence, and whether that department has authority over this lender was not determined here.
  • Federal complaint route: the CFPB takes complaints about auto loans, debt collection and credit reporting at consumerfinance.gov/complaint.

If you cannot make a payment. The CFPB tells borrowers to contact the lender or servicer as soon as they know they cannot pay, ask what options exist (it names payment plans, a changed due date or a pause), and get any agreement in writing.

If a car is repossessed. The CFPB page says that in many states a lender can repossess a vehicle without a warning or a court order after a missed payment, while other states require a notice before repossession; that a lender must notify you before a repossessed vehicle is sold; and that you may owe a deficiency balance or be owed a surplus after the sale. It also says an active-duty servicemember's loan taken before service cannot be repossessed without a court order under the Servicemember Civil Relief Act.

If a credit report entry looks wrong. The CFPB says to dispute it with the credit reporting company (Equifax, Experian or TransUnion) in writing, explaining what is wrong and including supporting documents; the credit reporting company must investigate and send the dispute to the company that furnished the information.

One customer review dated April 12, 2026 gives 1 star and alleges "hidden fees"; the company's public response dated April 20, 2026 says that "All financial terms ... are explicitly disclosed in the federal Truth in Lending Act (TILA) disclosures within the contract you reviewed and signed at the dealership" and that it is an indirect lender that was not involved in selecting or selling the vehicle (company statement; the review's claim is an allegation).

CFPB database (company name "SameDay Auto Finance, LLC"): 26 complaints received between July 23, 2023 and September 29, 2026, 8 of them since October 12, 2025. CFPB does not verify the facts in complaints, and the BBB and CFPB counts come from different systems and are not added together here. On October 12, 2026 the usacomplaints.com archive had no approved complaint posts that name SameDay Auto Finance in the title, offender field or text, so this page has no complaint themes of its own.

Court filings that name SameDay Auto Finance

A CourtListener search for the exact name "SameDay Auto Finance" on October 12, 2026 returned three results: two dockets for the same wage-and-hour case described below, and a third docket for an unrelated individual's bankruptcy that is not described here. The search is of CourtListener's RECAP archive only and does not cover every state or federal court.

Smart v. SameDay Auto Finance, LLC (N.D. Tex.). Margaret Smart filed a complaint on April 8, 2022 against SameDay Auto Finance LLC and Scott Weiss (No. 3:22-cv-00803, Dallas Division). The docket for the Fort Worth Division number, 4:22-cv-00465, lists the nature of suit as "710 Labor: Fair Labor Standards Act". On May 31, 2022 the court ordered the case transferred to the Fort Worth Division. The defendants answered on June 17, 2022; a joint notice of settlement was filed on June 28, 2022; and on July 29, 2022 a joint stipulation of dismissal with prejudice was filed and the case was terminated. The docket does not show the settlement terms. This is a case brought by an individual under federal wage law, not a consumer-credit case.

Is SameDay Auto Finance Legitimate?

Texas Comptroller franchise-tax records list SAMEDAY AUTO FINANCE L.L.C. (Secretary of State file number 0801393093, charter date March 3, 2011) with Secretary of State status and right to transact business both coded "A", as displayed on October 12, 2026; the BBB file gives the same business start and incorporation date. The business operates the website samedayauto.net, which states a Texas Secretary of State registration and OCCC licensing. I could not complete an OCCC licensee lookup in the OCCC's ALECS search on October 12, 2026, so the licence statement is the company's own and was not matched to a licence record.

Sources checked on October 12, 2026: the OCCC enforcement actions table (closed actions for fiscal years 2022 to 2026, through August 11, 2026) does not list SameDay Auto Finance; a search of the CFPB's enforcement actions page for "SameDay" returned no results; the BBB shows an A+ rating without accreditation and 6 complaints in three years; and the CFPB database shows 26 complaints, all closed with explanation. These are the sources checked, not a statement about every regulator or court.

Per the company, loan applications come through dealerships, so the dealer, the vehicle seller and any warranty or add-on provider are separate businesses from the finance company; the company itself lists "aftermarket products" among its offerings.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I contact SameDay Auto Finance?

The company's website lists 817-984-4335 for customer care, payments by phone and account changes, and [email protected] with a PO Box at 168166, Irving, TX 75016 (Attn: Compliance Officer) for complaints. The BBB lists a different number, (817) 809-7366, which the company's own site does not publish.

How do I make a payment or set up automatic payments?

The website's "Make a payment" button links to PayNearMe (account number, email or mobile number, and ZIP code; a second "PAYMENT / PAGO" button also goes to PayNearMe), payment by phone at 817-984-4335, and, per the company, "recurring payments from their bank account at no charge" through a customer care specialist. Use only the payment links on samedayauto.net and confirm the amount and payee on your own contract.

Can I apply for a loan directly with SameDay Auto Finance?

The company's inquiry form says it does not accept applications directly: the dealership submits the application, and SameDay Auto currently works only with dealerships in Texas or Oklahoma. Any website or caller offering a direct application in another state is not described by the company's own page.

Where can I file a complaint about SameDay Auto Finance?

The company lists mail to its Compliance Officer (PO Box 168166, Irving, TX 75016) and [email protected]. It also names the Texas Office of Consumer Credit Commissioner (1-800-538-1579; occc.texas.gov), which the company says regulates it. The CFPB accepts complaints about auto loans, debt collection and credit reporting, and the BBB accepts complaints through its profile page.

What can I do if my SameDay Auto Finance account appears incorrectly on a credit report?

The CFPB advises disputing the entry in writing with the credit reporting company (Equifax, Experian or TransUnion), explaining what is wrong and attaching supporting documents; the credit reporting company must investigate and forward the dispute to the company that reported the information. The CFPB suggests sending the letter by certified mail with a return receipt and lists dispute channels for each bureau (for example TransUnion by phone at (800) 916-8800). CFPB's database shows 19 of the 26 complaints it lists for this company are in a credit-reporting product category, and states those are consumer submissions that CFPB does not verify.

What can I do if I cannot make a payment?

The CFPB says to contact the lender or servicer as soon as you know you cannot pay and ask about options such as a payment plan, a changed due date or a pause, and to get any agreement in writing. The company lists customer care at 817-984-4335; its website does not describe a specific hardship program, and says its staff can help with "creating a plan for unexpected life events" (company statement).

What happens if my car is repossessed?

The CFPB says in many states a lender can repossess a vehicle without a warning or a court order after a missed payment, while other states require a notice before repossession. It also says you must be notified before a repossessed vehicle is sold, you may owe a deficiency balance or be owed a surplus, you should contact the lender right away to arrange to retrieve personal belongings left in the car, and in some states you have a right to pay to get the vehicle back after repossession (to cure or reinstate the loan). If the repossession was in error, the CFPB says you can dispute it with the credit reporting companies; you can also contact the lender or servicer first and consider a complaint to the CFPB or the Texas OCCC.

How do I stop text messages from SameDay Auto Finance?

The company's Text Message Policy says its messages are account-related (such as payment reminders); to opt out, text STOP to any message it sends, and to ask for support text HELP or email [email protected]. Message and data rates may apply, per the policy.

What do the BBB and CFPB show about SameDay Auto Finance?

As displayed on October 12, 2026: the BBB shows a rating of A+, no accreditation, 6 complaints in the last 3 years and 1 out of 5 stars from 4 customer reviews; the CFPB database shows 26 complaints from July 2023 to September 2026, all closed with explanation. The two counts come from different systems and are not combined.
